All members were present. Denniston was present and requested the privilege of cutting back the <br />curb from the corner of Lawndale and Lincoln Say Aest on the south side of the street <br />fora d'rt c, f.,ofk74 feet. After discussing this matter with Mr. Denniston, the Board <br />agreeet the curb back a, distance of 13 feet instead of 15 feet, or within 2 ft <br />of the outer sidewalk line. <br />v Mr. Millbern of the ainclair Refining Company presented a plan for openings <br />for a filling station at Miami and Fox Streets which were approved with the under- <br />standing that a curb be installed at the property line outside of the openings. <br />The Northern Indiana Railway Company were represented by Mr. Watterson and re- <br />quested the privilege of establishing a loading zone on -the south side of Washington <br />Street from the alley east also on the north side of Jefferson Street from Main Street <br />east to a private alley; also to eliminate parking on the south side of Dunham St. <br />from Pulaski to Walnut, stating that this was necessary for the efficient operation <br />of the new buses which would be placed on the streets on Sunday, August 2lst. The <br />Board concurred in these requests and ordered the zones established. <br />Continuation Certificates covering Excavation bonds in favor of Parker and <br />Spromberg, and also Ernest Longway were approved and placed with the original bond. <br />'J A representative of the Kroger Store requested an openir_g to a parking lot on <br />S�)uth Michigan Street immediately north of 1007. The sketch is on file in the offi c.e <br />of the Board of Public Works, approved by the Board. <br />Mr. Charles Calvert was present at the meeting and. to him it was suggested. that <br />the Indiana Michigan Electric Company turn on all present illuminating lights that <br />are.not burning without -extra charge to the City. Mr. Calvert stated that he would <br />refer the matter to the executives of the Company and report to the Board later. <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:15 A.
