This matter <br />was referred to the Street <br />Department, <br />for investigation and attention. <br />VA. petidon was presented asking for the <br />installation of a street <br />light at the cor- <br />ner of Bissell and Walsh or Jacob Streets. The <br />matter was referred to <br />the Electrical <br />Department for investigation and recommendation. <br />✓A petition was presented asking for the <br />installation of a street <br />light -at, the <br />intersection of Sunnyside 'and Cedar Streets. <br />This matter was referred <br />to Mr. Qualls <br />for investigation and recommendation. <br />11A petition originally presented to the <br />Comrion Council was referred to the Board <br />asking for the improvement of Poland Street <br />from Clive to Kaley Streets by grading <br />and. graveling under a W.P.A. project. This <br />matter was referred to the Street Depart- <br />ment for investigation and recommendation. <br />1"TIIr. William Longenecker submitted his report of activities of the Cemetery Depar <br />ment for the'month of April showing collections made in the amount of $4,146.89, of <br />which $3,716.39 is for perpetual care. <br />✓Mr. (walls submitted a request from the Indiana'aichigan Electric Coiipany ask- <br />ing permission to rebuild the manhole located at the east end of Jefferson Street <br />bridge in the sidewalk area on the south side of Jefferson Street. Upon favorable <br />recommendation of Mr. Qualls permission was granted and the Indiana Michigan Electri <br />Company was so notified. <br />✓ Mr. QuAlls submitted a communication from the Indiana lv ichigan Electric Company <br />with reference to the billing of a traffic signal at ruestern Avenue and Main Street <br />to the State Highway Commission, it having been removed from the billing to the City. <br />Due to the fact that this intersection is not on State nighwway, the Board authorized <br />the change and instructed the Indiana ulichigan Electric Company to add to the City16 <br />billing in the future. <br />`Continuation Certificate of Excavation bond in favor of J. Fred Christman in <br />the Continental Casualty Company was approved by the Board. <br />✓Contractor's Bond in favor of Earl Van Kirk in the Columbia Casualty Company was <br />approved by the Board. <br />,/Mr. Frederick J.
