J. Tasher of a parcel <br />of land in the north quarter ofthe southwest quarter of section 24, township 37 Nrth <br />Range, 2' East, described indeed on file in the office of the Board of Public �Alorks. <br />/A petition of the Northern Indiana Public Service Company for the extension of <br />their gas mains to the Sibley Machine Company from our lines was granted by the Board.. <br />✓ A meeting was held in which were included representatives of the Grand Trunk Rail- <br />way (Mr. Thompson), Elder and Minnick of the New York Central, Mr. John 8u:c�wski and <br />Father Witucki, regarding crossings at Ford Street and at Walnut btreet. After a- care- <br />ful discussion of the matter the railroads agreed to cooperate fully and a further meet <br />ing was decided upon to also include the New Jersey Railroad at 1:30 P. M. on. the ground. <br />✓ A proposal was received from J. C. Lauber and Company for repair of gutters on the <br />Police Garage andeonnecting building to the City Hall, amounting to �"-456.00. This rep- <br />air was ordered and Lauber and Company were so notified. <br />✓Mr. Qualls reported regarding the petition for a street light to be installed at <br />the corner of Pleasant and 35th Streets, stating he had examined this location and rec- <br />ommends that a 1000 lumen light be installed. The Board approved this installation and <br />the Indiana 1411ichigan Electric Company were so notified. <br />Mr. walls reported upon the petition for the installation of a street lignt at' <br />23rd end Pleasant Streets and recorrLw�ended that a 1000 lumen light be installed. . The <br />B:-•ard concurred in this recommendation and the Indiana Michigan Electric Company were <br />ord.errd. to make the installation at once. <br />'/A discussion of the present condition of the streets in the City was had and it <br />was decided that the Mayor shall call a_ meeting of the Board and the Street Commissione. <br />together with members of the vV.P.A.Civic Committee of which E. M. Nriorris is the Chair- <br />man, to discuss ways and means of improving the streets of the City generally during <br />the coming sea -son, this meeting to be called at the Mayor's convenience. <br />This being the date set for hearing of Vacation Resolution No. 2494, same being <br />vacation of an alley South of Jefferson Blvd from Lincoln 'Kay East to a point 120 feet <br />north, tb.ee being no remonstrances and no remonstrances being filed, this Resolution - <br />was approved by the Board and ordered referred to the Engineering Department for the <br />purpose of compiling assessment roll showing benefits and damages. <br />' This being the date set for.hearing of Vacation Resolution No. 2495, same being <br />vacation of an alley West of Lafayette Street from Indiana Avenue to a point 111 feet <br />south, there being no remonstrances and no remonstrances being filed, this Resolution <br />was approved by the Board and ordered referred to the Engineering; Department for the <br />purpose of compiling assessment roll showing benefits and damages. <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:00 A.
