353 <br />MEETING February 28, 1938 <br />✓ Regular .meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Iulonday, February 28, <br />at 11:00 A. M. All members were present. <br />✓ Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.. Claims in the amount <br />�of $82.71 from the following suppliers were approved and ordered. paid. Also payroll <br />of the Street, Seer, and. J. McCaffery 10.00 <br />This being the date set for hearing of Vacation. Resolutions No. 2491, 2492, and <br />24.93, being Vacation of.alleys in a section of the City in the vicinity of Erskine <br />Boulevard, Eckman Street, Oakside Street, and Irvington Avenue. No remonstrators <br />appeared, but the Board postponed definite action for two weeks as easements for <br />public utilities to serve the property had not been filed. <br />Mr« Longenecker, City Sexton, submitted his report for the month of February, <br />showing a collection of $1116.94 of which 41011.44 is for perpetual care. <br />A petition was presented by 10 interested parties requesting that North Mich- <br />igan Street from 314 North Michigan Street to Madison Street be improved by setting <br />back curbs and removing tracks and all poles and overhead equipment of the Northern <br />Indiana Railway Company not now in use. The Board directed that this petition be <br />sent to the State Highway Commission for their attention. <br />✓ Mr. Anderson reported with reference to the grading of an alley between Morris <br />and Gertrude Streets from Prairie Avenue to Ewing Avenue that the Board will find it <br />possible to comply with the petition if the W. P. A. will cooperate. The petition <br />was placed on file. <br />A petition was received signed by 14 residents in the affected district, asking <br />that an alley between Studebaker and Birdsell Street be graded and cindered. This <br />smatter was referred to the Street Department for attention. <br />..The Board approved the plat of Coquillard Woods Addition, Section "B", to the <br />;;City of South .Bend, which comprises and is described as follows: <br />DEDICATION <br />�ISTATE OF INDIANA ) <br />i SS <br />I ST. The easements indicated on the plat along the several lot lines are reserve <br />�for-the exclusive use of public utilities.
