Hearing, therefore, was <br />postponed to <br />August 23rd. <br />Continuation certificate covering franchise bond of the Indiana Bell Telephone <br />Company in the American Surety Company of New York was approved by the Board. <br />Continuation certificate of excavation bond in favor of Edward L. Zimmerman <br />in the Fidelity & Casualty Company was approved by the Board. <br />f Continuation certificate of excavation bond in favor of San J. Frame in the <br />Standard Accident Insurance Company was approved by the Board. <br />✓ Communication was received from A. H. Bock, agent of the New York Central <br />Railroad, advising that the New York Central crossing on Lincoln Way 1Vest between <br />Adams and Wilber Streets had been repaired and is now in apparent good condition. <br />They called attention to crossings of the Pennsylvania Railroad at Ewing Avenue and <br />other crossings should also be looked into. The Police Department was directed to <br />investigate these matters. <br />The matter of respread of assessments on Summersgills' Subdivision of Lot 54 <br />Jacksons' proposed Addition was referred to the Engineering Department for attention. <br />Blue prints were submitted by the Ohio Oil Company of Finley, Ohio for plan <br />of service station at Indiana Avenue and Kendall Street, U,hich was approved by the <br />Board. - <br />V Blue Prints were submitted by the Ohio Oil Company of Finley, Ohio for plan <br />of service station at Michigan Avenue and Haney Street and approved by the Board. <br />Blue prints have been furnished the Engineering Department and also one set retained <br />on file in the office of the Board of Public 1,corks. <br />.11A communication was received from the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company <br />requesting permission to extend underground conduits, as shown on Indiana & Michigan <br />Electric Company drawings #137-100 and #137-101. Upon recommendation of Mr. Qualls, <br />Electrical Superintendent, this petition was approved. <br />v'A request was received from the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company for <br />permission to install duct lines and man -holes, as shown on their drawings #137-119, <br />120, 121, 115, 118 and 112. Upon recommendation of Mr. Qualls, Electrical Super- <br />intendent, bermission-was granted. <br />A communication was received from the Electrical Construction Company quoting <br />price of $121.00 for the necessary electric light fixtures for the new No. 2 Fire <br />Station at LaFayette and Sample Streets. The Board requested that additional bids <br />be received from other electrical contractors and submitted to the Board at its <br />next meeting. <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:30 A.
