304 <br />to reroute it's northbound Madison Street and Notre Dame Street Cars over the tracks <br />serving the Mishawaka lines, and that the tracks be removed from North Michigan,Street <br />betvreen Navarre Street and Washington Street, thereby greatly improving the appearance <br />of our main business street as well as greatly lessening the traffic hazard to both <br />our vehicle drivers and'pedestrians. <br />The Board, after fully considering the matter, by regular motion ordered that this <br />Resolution be placed on file for future reference. <br />fThe Joe Vuinkley Motor Sales presented a sketch showing proposed front entrance <br />to their parking lot on South Michigan Street at Monroe. The Board approved this <br />sketch and the Joe Winkley Motor Sales Company were so notified. <br />✓ A petition signed by fourteen property owners in the vicinity of North Hill Street <br />was presented to the Board, requesting that Hill Street from Napoleon to Angella be <br />improved by grading. This petition was referred to the Street Department for attention_. <br />'/Communication was received from South Bend Post No. 50 American Legion requesting <br />that the additional space in the City Cemetery that has just been created be set aside <br />for future use of Veterans. The Board took the matter under advisement and corn -mu= <br />nication was placed on file. <br />A communication was received from A. H. Bock, Agent, stating that defective <br />condition of the crossing on Lincoln Way West between VAfilbur Street and Adams Street <br />had been referred to their Chicago office for attention. Communication was placed on <br />file. <br />Mr..Longenecker, City Sexton, submitted his report for the operation of the <br />Cemetery for the month of May, showing cash receipts for regular care $519.00 and for <br />Derpetual care $224.00. This report is on file in the office of the Board of Public <br />Works. <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:30 A.
