SPECIAL_ MEETING May 21, 1937 <br />299 <br />• <br />0 <br />• <br />• <br />0 <br />0 <br />A special meeting of the'Board of Public Works was held on Friday, May 21, <br />1937,.at 10:30 A. M. All members were present. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to receive and open bids, as advertised,for <br />one Tandem Roller to be used on W.P.A. Projects. <br />The following bids were received: <br />GALION IRON WORKS & MFG. CO. <br />1 Galion Variable Weight Roller ............................0 $4,261.00 <br />Electric Starter with Lights, extra..... .................. 125.00 <br />R. C. LARKIN COMPANY <br />1 Buffalo Springfield Model VT.21 Gasoline Engine Tandem <br />Road Roller ............................................... $4,050.00 <br />1 Buffalo Springfield Waukesha Model ........................ 4,050.00 <br />1 Buffalo Springfield Model VT.21 with Diesel Engine........ 4,350.00 <br />Electric Starting and Lighting Equipment on any of the <br />above, extra .............................................. 125.00 <br />After considering all bids, the Board decided to enter into a contract with <br />R. C. Larkin Company of Chicago for one Buffalo Springfield Model VT.21 Tandem <br />Road Roller, six -cylinder Diesel Engine --- Price $4,475.00, subject to approval <br />of the South Bend Common Council. <br />The purpose of the meeting having been accomplished, the Board adjourned <br />at 1:30 P.
