State Prison 11.04 George '+'+yrian & Co. 13.56 Mr. Longenecker submitted his report of the receipts of the Cemetery Department for the month of September, showing receipts of 248.50. This report is on file in the office of the Board of Public Works This being the date set for continued hearing on Vacation Resolution #2486, being vacation of alley north of Lincoln Way West from Chicago Street to Sheridan Avenue, by regular motion seconded and carried this hearing was continued for five weeks to November 9 th. his. Qualls reported upon the petition for the establishment of a street light at Jackson Street and Colfax Avenue. After fully investigating the lighting in that vicinity, la. walls recommended that this installation be not approved. 1r. Qualls reported upon the request of 1:r. Carter, colored, for a light in front of the Church at North Birdsell Street and Listen Street. A fter carefully investigati.nE the matter, 1.s. Qualls recommiended that a 1000 lumen lamp be installed in front of the Church, so that the entrance may be lighted, the cost of -same being $19 .80 per year. The Board instructed 1r. Qualls to hove the Indiana & I::ichigen Electric Company make the installation at once. in the matter of petition of 49 residents -in the vicinity of 31st and Streets, the Board favorably considered this end instructed I:r. wells to have the Indiana P:"ichiga.n ,Electric Company install a 1000 lun.en light at this point. Fire insurance policy in the Insurance Company of America., covering the Cemetery Building, in the amount of N34.00 for a period of three Nears from Cctober 6th, tes approved by the Board. Excavation. bond in the amount of �1,000.00, in favor of the Singer 11nufecturing Company, in the National Casualty Company, �Tas approved and ordered placed on file. I.;r. igeer submitted his report of ,,'.P.A. activities on. projects that come under the supervision of the Street Lepartri:ent for the months of April, I.ey, June, July and �� ugust. These reports are on file in the office of the Board of Public Works.
