246 <br />MEETING September 21, 19 36_ <br />Regular meeting of . the Board of Public (forks was held on 11ondey, September 21, 1936 <br />at 10:30 A. M. All members were present. <br />141inutes of previous meeting were read and. approved. <br />Claims in the amount of $199.72, from the f ollowing suppliers, were approved and <br />ordered paid, also payroll of the various departments amounting to $1,400.86. <br />Indiana. Paint a Nallpaper Company ?188.60 <br />11irror Press, Inc. 7.50 <br />Railway Express Agency 3.62 <br />This being the date set for hearing of Vacetion Resolution #2486, the resolution <br />was presented to the Board and no objectors were ?resent. In considering the matter, <br />Mr. Anderson, City Civil Engineer, requested that definite action be postponed for <br />two weeks, on account of certain developments which have arisen. By regular motion, <br />seconded and carried, action upon this resolution was postponed until 1:onday, October <br />5th. <br />Complaint was received from residents in the vicinity of 509 `-,`lest LIarion Street <br />that a tree growing next to the alley extended its branches over the alley, causing <br />inconvenience and danger. The matter was referred to the Street Departr,,ient to arrange <br />to trim this tree. <br />T iss Kathleen 11. Srdallzried appeared bef-cre the Board and requested the privilege <br />of replacing the present refuse cans in the City -°vith another can and to display <br />advertising on them. after a full discussion of the matter, the Board decided to <br />withhold their action for one week to give an opportunity of investigating the <br />Practicability and possibility of granting, such a request. <br />g� petition signed by trventy-three residents rec ��esting an arc tarp -at the corner <br />of St. `oseph Street and.Ir--i�gton ;,venue was disc ,_- 1 ,-ualls and it eras, <br />decided that the 4000 lurr_2n la-riq) ?t BcS ian and Carroll Stx•eets be reduced to 1000 and <br />a 1000 lumen. lm-fp be installed at Irvington avenue and St. Joseph Street. <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:00 A. 17. <br />c '"orxs <br />ATTEST: Clerk <br />• <br />is <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
