All members were present. <br />Minutes o;.**the', previous meeting were read and approved. <br />Claims, from the following suppliers, in the amount of $1,439.01 were approved <br />and ordered paid, also payroll of the street and sewer departments amounting to <br />4 ,.6 54.34. <br />No.. Balding and $57.00 for perpetual care of Pauline Steinke lot. Report <br />is on file in the office of the Board of Public Works. <br />A petition was received from 18 residents in the first and second block on <br />North Jackson Street, requesting that a street light be erected at the corner of <br />Jackson Street and Colfax_ Avenue. The matter was referred to Mr. Qualls for <br />investigation and report. <br />Mr. Anderson reported in reference to the filling station driveway at the north- <br />east corner of South Bend Avenue and Georgiena Street. Due to the fact that the <br />station is owned by a non-resident, it is impossible to force him to replace the curb <br />but that the City could replace it at its own expense. The Clerk of the Board was <br />instructed to notify the tenant at the filling station to request the owner to have <br />the curb replaced. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:30 A.
