City sewer on Olive <br />Street and <br />Ewing Avenue to be used strictly <br />for sanitary <br />sewage from the J. Elmer Peak School. <br />This petition was granted and copy of it <br />is now on file in the office <br />of the Board <br />of Public Works. <br />Excavation bond in the <br />amount of $1,000.00 <br />in favor of Floyd C. <br />Wede1 was <br />approved and placed on file. <br />The meeting adjourned at <br />12:30 P. M-1. <br />ATTEST: Glerk <br />ADDENDA: <br />Mr. Qualls submitted a report showing contemplated reduction in the cost of street <br />lighting and his recommendation was to make the following changes: <br />Discontinue Lamp No. 285 - Harris St. north of Huron St. <br />A 4000 lumen lamp rated at $37.20 per year. <br />Discontinue Lamp No. 1034 - Phillippa St. south of Huron St. <br />A 4000 lumen lamp rated at $37.20 per year. <br />Move Lamp No. 1280 - Phillippa St. north of Huron St., to <br />Phillipa & Huron Sts. No change in cost.' <br />Discontinue Lamp No. 1690 - Carlisle St. at alley south of Ford St. <br />A 1000 lumen lamp rated at $19.80 per year. <br />Change Lamp No 2804 Grace St. at alley west of Webster St., <br />from 2500 lumen to 1000 lumen. The 2500 lumen lamp is rated at <br />$31.20 per year. The 1000 lumen lamp is rated at $19.80 per ,year. <br />A saving of $11.40 per year. <br />Change Lamp No. 1404 - Poland St. at alley east of Walnut St., <br />from 4000 lumen at $37.20 per year to 1000 lumen at $19.80 per year. <br />A saving of 11.40 per year. <br />Discontinue Lamp No. 1419 - Pulaski St. at alley south of Dunham St., <br />A 1000 lumen lamp at $19.80 per year. <br />This will create a saving of $142.80 per year. The Board adopted his suggestion as <br />above with the instructions that he continue to make other changes where possible until <br />the monthly claim of the Indiana & I ichigen Electric Company will come within the <br />budget set up. <br />Mr. Qualls also made the suggestion of turning out alternate lights on Mishawaka <br />Avenue to offset the expense of street light at 30th Street and TV.ishawaka Avenue and <br />will make a report and recommendations at the next meeting. <br />• I (Above minutes in Addenda were inadvertently transcribed in the minutes of <br />the Board of Public Safety.) <br />
