199 <br />1, EE TING FEBRUARY 3, 1936 <br />Regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, February 3, 1936 <br />at 11:30 A. M. 'Ransberger & Son <br />3.40 <br />is <br />7� <br />0 <br />The Cemetery Sexton made his report that 'receipts for the month of January 1936 <br />showed collections to be $21.50 for general care. This report is on file in the <br />office of the Board of Public Works. <br />A communication from the Kosciuszko Civic Club was received by the Board'.in'Which <br />it was requested that the Board take some action to have the snow removed from the <br />steps leading up to the embankment at Railroad Terminals at Arnold, Vvalnut and Eerris <br />Streets, Due to the fact that these steps end walks do not abut any property, no one <br />feels tLc responsibility of removing the snow and the condition is very serious. It <br />was regularly moved, seconded and carried thr:t this ratter be referred to the Street <br />Department with instructions that snow immedietely be removed from these places. <br />In the matter of Vacation Resolution Ao. 2483, same being the'vecation of alley <br />north of Randolph Street from Yprine Street to the first alley west of Merine Street, <br />final action was postponed foz one week.. to give those benefitted,en opportunity to <br />secure the necessary funds to pay the benefits. <br />The Secretary called attention to charges now -on the books for flushing severs <br />and requested the privilege of cancelling some -of the oldest accounts as statements <br />had been continually sent and no response been received. The City Attorney requested <br />a list of the outstanding accounts, which has been sent to him. <br />A communication was received from Edwerd E. Schueler in response to a letter <br />written him calling attention_ to the fact that a fence erected at the rear of property <br />at 1255 East IrTarine Street extended into the alley at leest 2 ft. and requesting him <br />to remove it. Bis letter requested the privilege of putting this off until Spring and <br />also calling attention of the Board to the fact teat the property is really owned by <br />Mrs. T. Balkin, his 1.1other. The Secretary was instructed to request him to have this <br />fence moved back to the line as quickly as possible. <br />Continuation certificates of Excavation Bonds in favor of T`orris L. Briggs and <br />Distler Plumbing Company of 15ishawa.ka were approved by the Board. <br />The meeting adjourned at 12 : 40 P. fit_. <br />ATTEST: Clerk <br />F <br />
