189 <br />- --- --- --- -- --TURY 641936 <br />Regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, January 6,,1936 <br />at 10:30 A. M. All members were present. <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. <br />Claims in the amount of $103.98, from the following suppliers, were approved and <br />ordered paid, also payrolls of the various departments amounting to $1,400.86. <br />Burroughs Adding Machine Company $52.96 <br />G. 0. Thurn for J. N. Hunter, P. 10.00 <br />. <br />Office Supply & Equipment Co., Inc. 41.00 <br />Mr. W. A. Slick and Mr. Fred Keller, representing property.owners at the north- <br />east corner of LaFayette Blvd. and LaSalle Street, were present and presented a plan <br />for filling station at this corner for approval. After considering the matter fully, <br />the Board requested the privilege of withholding definite decision for one week. <br />Surety Bond in the amount of $10,000.00 in the Massachusetts Bonding and Insurance <br />Company in favor of James H. Pierce, covering period from December 31, 1935 to <br />December 31, 1936 applying to the contract held by Mr. Pierce for the removal of <br />garbage, was approved by the Board. <br />Mr. J. C. Weer submitted report of the activities of the Street and Sewer Depart- <br />ments for the year 1935. This report is on file in the office of the Board of Public <br />Works. <br />Mx. Weer reported the cost of removing snow from January lst to 4th, inclusive, <br />1936, showing an expense of $965.41. This report is on file in the office of the Board <br />of Public Works. <br />. Excavation bonds in favor of.the following were approved by the Board and are on <br />file in the office of the Board of Public Works: <br />Herman L. Neupert - Great American Indemnity Company <br />William L. Turnock - Great American Indemnity Company <br />Joseph IFi. Hiznay - Royal Indemnity Company <br />Continuation certificates in favor of the following,covering excavation bonds, <br />were approved by the Board and are on file: Edward L. Zimmerman, Thomas E.
