Skinner Company, requesting that Ewing Avenue from Michigan to <br />Olive Street be improved. Mr. Weer, Street Commissioner, reported that this thorough- <br />fare had been graded and graveled and that there were no funds to make further improve- <br />ment. A letter was directed to Mr. Merrill outlining these facts. <br />The City Civil Engineer, Frederick J. Anderson, filed primary Assessment Roll, <br />show,ing awards of damages and assessment of benefits in the matter *'of vacation of <br />alley west of Olive Street from Longl.ey Avenue to alley north of LonEley Avenue, same • <br />being Vacation Resolution No. 2485. <br />In the above -named Assessment Roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 16th day <br />of December 1935 it will meet in the City Hall at 10:30 A. 111. to hear and receive <br />remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by said vacation. <br />The Board further orders that notices of said hearing be advertised in two news- <br />papers in South Bend on November 25th and December 2nd, and that notices also together <br />with the amount of damages awarded and benefits assessed be delivered to property <br />owners according to law. <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:50 A. Y. • <br />Board of Public Works. <br />ATTEST • �1/ _C 1 erk j <br />SPECIAL MEETING November 22, 1935 <br />Special meeting of the Board of Public Works was held in the Mayor's Office on <br />iday, November 22, 1935, at 9:00 A. M. All members were present, including the Mayor. <br />The meeting was called for the purpose of determining action to be followed with <br />reference to decision of the Judge of the Circuit Court in awarding damages to Samuel <br />eeper in condemnation proceedings under Resolution No. 2481, which -is a part of the <br />west half of the northwest quarter of Section 1, Township 37 north, Range 2 east, <br />previously described and commonly known as the residence property of Samuel Leeper. <br />This action ,does not affect any other property under the above condemnation <br />proceedings. <br />a.,c l <br />It was regularly moved by 1!r.
