They had previously stated that former Boards c <br />reimburse them for the damage done, and Mr. Anderson of t <br />having investigated the matter thoroughly from the record <br />promises had been recorded. Upon further discussion, it <br />possibly existed between the City of South Bend and the s <br />the State Highway- Commission to absolve the latter two fz <br />owndrs, on account of damage. This matter was then dispc <br />representatives that this contract would be investigated <br />matter would,be had at the next meeting on July first. <br />A letter from Phil Van Tornhout, claiming damages tY <br />by grading down Western Avenue and Walnut Streets under t <br />presented to the Board, and referred to the City Attorney <br />Mr. Charles Lewinski again appeared before the Board <br />which he has previously brought up, and he was informed t <br />matter would be had at the next meeting of the Board on N <br />Meeting adjourned at 12:20 P. M. for the purpose of awarding contract for re-ro <br />Signal Station., at 212 East Wayne Street. <br />Bids were received from John Beyrer & Son at $445.00 <br />Roofing Company at $450.00. <br />On motion made, seconded and carried it was decided <br />John Beyrer & Son Company at their low bid.
