~~ <br />~~rJ <br />~C~/~ PUBLIC WORKS AND PROPERTY VACATION COMMITTEE January 25, 2010 <br />David Varner, Chairperson, Public Works and Property Vacation Committee called the meeting to <br />order at 3:55 p.m. <br />Committee Members Present: Timothy Rouse <br />Other Councilmember's Present: Derek Dieter, Oliver Davis, Ann Puzzello, Karen White <br />Other's Present: Gary Gilot, Eric Zell, Carol Littrell, Mayor Stephen Luecke, Rita Kopala, Bill <br />Schalliol, John Murphy, Phil St. Clair, Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, John Voorde <br />Agenda: Bill No. 101-09 -Alley Vacation Washington & William <br />Chairperson Varner opened the hearing on Bill No. 101-09 noting that without a quorum the <br />committee would not be able to send the bill to the full Council with recommendation. <br />Councilmember Varner then recognized Erick Zell of Wightman-Petrie a sun/eying/engineering <br />firm hired by the City to process the alley vacation request. Mr. Zell provided two handouts. The <br />first was a schematic site plan, the second a photographic aerial view. Mr. Zell further noted all <br />pertinent city departments had approved the request. Bill Schalliol from the Economic <br />Development Department said the building adjacent to the alley now owned by the city was to be <br />demolished. The site was being considered as a possible location for a historic Temple Re- <br />location.
