Broden <br /> Other Council Present: Karen White, Dr. David Varner, Tim Scott, Randy Kelly <br /> Other Council Absent: Regina Williams-Preston <br /> Others Present: Bianca Tirado, Graham Sparks, Bob Palmer <br /> Presenters: Angela Smith, Chuck Bulot <br /> Agenda: Bill No. 89-17- Mixed Use District Zoning Text Amendments <br /> Bill No. 01-18- Transfer of Zoning Related Responsibilities <br /> Committee Chair Oliver Davis called to order the Zoning and Annexation Committee meeting at <br /> 4:10 p.m. He introduced members of the Committee and announced the lack of a quorum. <br /> Though no recommending action can be taken, Committee Chair Davis proceeded to give the <br /> floor to the presenters. <br /> Bill No 89-17-Mixed Use District Zoning Text Amendments <br /> Committee Chair Davis continued Bill No. 89-17 due to the absence of the legislation's sponsors. <br /> Bill No 01-18-Transfer of Zoning Related Responsibilities <br /> Angela Smith, Deputy Director of the Area Plan Commission with offices on the 11th floor of the <br /> County-City Building, stated, This has to do with the transferring of the ABZA responsibilities. <br /> There were two (2)non-zoning related sections of the ordinance that dealt with the Building <br /> Department so these didn't have to go through the Area Plan Commission,they were just filed <br /> with you all. One (1)had to deal with the Building Department's responsibilities accepting <br /> ABZA applications. We struck that out. The other one (1) was related to that as well. <br /> Chuck Bulot,Building Commissioner of the Building Department with offices located at 125 S. <br /> Lafayette Boulevard, stated, I think this has been a long time coming. It has come to the point <br /> where we are so busy, it is virtually impossible to keep up with it all.
