<br />of Western avenue at Yoseiuszko Street on the North side which vaoulc mean the appro-
<br />priation of epproximntely 2700 square feet of the Singur Yanufacturing, Company's pro-
<br />perty, together with a letter from the Singer Company written in reply to one written
<br />in connection with said widening. The letter is a s follows:

<br />leesind a triangular stri, of our -oroperty on Vestern Avenue 200' long, having n area
<br />of 2700 sau�-re feet, the City to remove and reple ce the present fence can the new line,
<br />to construct sidewalk, curb and pavement and such other wotk necessary, as shown on bl
<br />print, at no expense to us. The strip of land in r,uestion to be tax exempt during the
<br />period of rental..
<br />In connection with the above would say, we shall be g?.�-d to comply with �
<br />your request, Pnd will nr-k:e a ch-srFe of `�108.00 -Der ye^r, Which, is 5% per a.nnum on the
<br />2700 sruare feet at .80V per sruare foot, the lease to be automatically renewed every
<br />five yeers or until such time as the widening of the street is projected further west,
<br />and. the 1r?� condemned.

<br />In reference to the above matter, the Board instructed T`r. Ycore to
<br />try Pnd arra�nee for the outright purchase of the land in cuestion rt�ther than to lease
<br />same as the =mbove proposition would be prohibitive.
