This ordinance amends Chapters 2 and 6 of the South Bend Municipal Code to reflect the transfer of zoning-related responsibilities formerly vested with the Building Department to the Area Planning Department of St. Joseph County. Specifically,the Building Department will no longer be chiefly responsible for the enforcement of the City's Zoning Ordinance, nor administration of Zoning Ordinance functions and the Area Board of Zoning Appeals. This ordinance rescinds those responsibilities from the Municipal Code's list of Building Department functions,along with certain fees associated with those functions.
