integrated Solution <br />One of the key benefits to mCARE is its high degree of integration with the utility's customer information and <br />billing system. In a wireless environment mCARE is providing real-time information on the status of orders <br />in the field. Whether it is a manager, dispatcher, or customer service representative, each would have <br />visibility on the status of a service order including who it was assigned to, when and if it was completed, and <br />any notes the field service person added. <br />In addition, when service orders are completed and sent back to the office there is intelligence built into <br />mCARE to perform validation when necessary. For example mCARE will prevent changing a meter if the meter <br />is not identified in inventory or if the account associated with the meter is in a billing batch. There are visual <br />indicators in mCARE that assist staff in guiding them through the completion process. <br />3.7 Software Licensing Model <br />In all cases, NorthStar offers per user licensing. <br />On -premise: Licensing is available in either an outright capital purchase model, with corresponding annual <br />maintenance and support fees, or as an annual subscription which includes annual maintenance and <br />support fees within the one annual payment.. . <br />Hosted: Same as on -premise. <br />SaaS: As with most software -as -a -service offerings, licensing is available as an annual subscription which <br />includes annual maintenance and support fees within the one annual payment. <br />3.8 Roadmap <br />NorthStar Utilities Solutions has a strong track record of releasing and continuously improving our products <br />and solutions. This is best demonstrated by our series of major software releases over the last 25 years. The <br />features and functions of our solutions have continued to grow as our large customer base utilizes the <br />software to increase their level of customer service and optimize their operations. <br />NorthStar Utilities Solutions remains committed to continually improve and invest in our products. Ourvision <br />is about building utility solutions that reach a new level of enterprise integration and automation. This means <br />having products and technology that exchange information seamlessly and in real time. We also believe the <br />solution should enable utilities to completely automate their business processes, enabling customers to <br />optimize their operations, reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.
