r r ar r �. r• r l v.� r any r� <br />Included in the solution is a graphical, drag and drop based report designer which allows users to rapidly <br />design or customize any reports, dashboard or performance scorecards. The report designer features an easy <br />to use interface and a large set of predefined reports templates to get you started quickly. <br />Hyper Links & Drill Through <br />Hyper Links & Drill Through is a feature that allows you to navigate the reports to either access more detailed <br />information (Drill Down), or return to a high level view (Drill Up). Similar to web navigation, this feature allow <br />you to rapidly access more detailed reports on information that is presented to the users. The report library <br />provided with Reports Anywhere has been carefully designed to take maximum advantage of this feature and <br />all reports make extensive use of Hyper Links and Drill Through. <br />Smart Prompts <br />Smart Prompt is the first screen you will see when running a complex reports. It allows the user to set specific <br />criteria or filters for the reports that is about to be presented. For example on a customer listing report, the user <br />might specify that he only what to see customers within a specific zip code. All Smart Prompt have been designed <br />to be easy to use and provide maximum flexibility to perform advanced filtering of information. <br />Report Scheduling & Publishing <br />Report scheduling allows users to automatically execute a report, or a set of report at a predetermined time and <br />date. This feature also has the option of publishing the reports after automatic execution. For example, a report <br />can be published to an internal web site, or distributed to an e-mail list. <br />Format Conversion <br />Reports can be generated in multiple formats including HTML, PDF, XML or Excel. Existing reports can also be <br />easily converted from one format to another by a single selection. <br />Multi -Nested Lists <br />Multi -nested lists are used primarily in batch driven processes (Billing Journals, Cash Receipts listing, etc). <br />They may contain several too many accounts that need to be printed sequentially on the report. Each <br />Account will have one or more nested lists that need to appear immediately after the parent account list. In <br />this example, "Accounts" are the primary list while "Services", "Meters" and "Charges" are the child lists. <br />Forms/Letters/Correspondence <br />Reports will typically print one account per page. Each account would have one or more detail sections <br />which can be grouped logically on the page to maximize the readability and organization of the information. <br />Examples of these types of reports are utility bills, overdue notices, other letters or correspondence, etc. <br />Simple List Reports <br />There are probably hundreds of these types of reports. They are important reports but typically not used <br />heavily. <br />These reports will vary in their complexity; some will be just a single list with some sort of grand total on the <br />last page. Other reports may contain additional subtotaling and grouping depending on the nature of the <br />report. <br />EIS: Executive Information System <br />NorthStar's Executive Information System is a sophisticated reporting and query tool for management staff <br />and casual users that require real-time access to reports and/or customer information. EIS allows users to <br />build reports using underlying real-time data from NorthStar's billing system; however, access to critical <br />NorthStar Proposal Response —South Bend Indiana <br />
