5.03 Monday, January 15th . , 1934 • • 0 Board met in regular session at 3 P. 1! . fir. Dick Johnson present. Yr. Relp, H. Kuss also present. City Engineer, William S. Moore, present. On account of the larf number of persons in attendance, the meeting was held in the Council Chambers. 111inutes of meeting::. held Monday, January 8th. , 1934, read and approved. This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the following Va.catioi i Resolution No . 247 7 Vacation of Arnold Street at New York Central Railroad (See files for copy of Resolution) In the above named vacation resolution, remonstrators appeared. Yr. John I Buczkowski, representing the Polish Civic Organization, was present, remonstrating against said vacation. Yr. Frank Coughlin, attorney, representing the Western Improve- ment organization, was also present, remonstrating against said closing. After much discussion, the Board decided to continue hearing on said vaca- tion resolution No.2477 until January 29th., 1934, at 3 P. M. This being the da to set, continued he^ring was had on the foTlowing Vacatio: Resolution No.2478: is Vacation of -Cherry Street - that part lying between the northerly line and the southerly line of the main line of the New York Central Railroad right-of-way. (See j files for copy of vacation resolution.) In the above named vacation resolution 17o.2478, the Board decided to contin li hearing until January 29 th . , 1934, a t 3 P. Y. ii The .Board approved the Contractor's bond written in favor of Sam Coffman signed by the Hartford Accident and indemnity Co. The Board approved the following renewal certificates for Plumbers Exca- vation Bonds: Excavation bond in favor of Thomas 14acGr8th in the sum of $1,000.00 signed by Employers Liability Assurance Corporation of London, England. Excavation Bond in favmf of Rocco Simeri in the sum of $1,000.00 signed by Mpryland Casualty Uompany. Excavation bond in favor of %1m. Turnoek Jr., in the sum of P 1,000.00 signed by New York Casualty Company. Excavation bond in favor of Edward L. Zimmerman in the sum of $1,000.00 signed by Ietropolitan Casualty Insurance Company of New York. The Board approved pay roll claims for the Street Department and for the Cemetery Department in the sum of $5 ,178.16 and hereby orders City Controller to pay same. The Eo^rd approved claims for various departments in the sum of 9,106.57 including the December 1933, street lighting bill of 9,073.82. Upon the recommendation of City Engineer, William S. Moore, the Board approved the following Redistributions of Assessments: NORTHWEST TRUNK SEWER Roll No. 2263 Reso No. 1774 Dup . No . 43042 Samuel Whitehall Beg_: 120 ft N of N. E. Corner of Washington and Falcon Street, thence N. 342 ft., thence E 129 ft, thence S 342 ft, Thence ;;r 129 ft to beginning.
