Tue s day , Jan ua ry 2 r 19 34 <br />On account of New Years Day falling on Monday, the regular meeting of the Board <br />of Public Works, a special rmeting was held on Tuesday, January 2nd., 1934. Mr. flick <br />Johnson and. Mr. Ralph H. Kuss were present. Mr. William S. l�,00re, pity Engineer, was <br />also present. <br />Minutes of meting held Tuesday, December 26th . , 1933, were read and approved. <br />The following renewal certificates for Plumbers Excavation Bonds were; signed <br />and approved by the Board.: <br />Renewal certificate for the bond of Jacob Eawblitzel in the sum of $1,000.00 <br />signed by Metropolitan U�sualty and Insurance Company of New York. <br />Renewal certificate for bond of Emmett Shaul in the sum of $1,000.00 signed by <br />Metropolitan Casualty and. Insurance Company of New York. <br />Renewal certificate for the bond of Phillip Cohen in the sum of K,000.00 signed <br />by Metropolitan Casualty Insurance Company of New York. <br />Renewal certificate for the bond. of Louis Stoll in the surn of 111,000.00 signed <br />1.°etr opolit an Casualty Insurance Company of New York. <br />Renewal certificate for the bond of Emil Spromberg in the sum of $1,000.00 <br />digned by Yetropolitan Casualty Insurance Company of New York. <br />xenev7al certifi c to for bond pr Albert T,,,. Smith in the sum of $1,000.00 signed <br />by Yetropolit an Casualty Insurance Company of New York. <br />Renewal certificate for the bond of Charles Oberlin & Company in the sum of <br />1,000.00 signed by Yaryla.nd Casualty Uompa.ny. <br />The Board approved the Excavation bond of Samuel Slutsky in the sum of $1,000.00 <br />signed by Employers Liability Assurance Company. <br />The Board approved the Excavation bond of Edward J. 'Vhite in the sum of $1,000. <br />signed by Fidelity and Ddposit Company of Prarylend. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No.2477 for the <br />Vacati on;of Arnold Street at the New York Central Railroad Company's right of way. <br />( Insert see files for copy of vatat ion resolution No.2477. ) <br />In the above named vacation resolution, remonstrators appeared. Representatives <br />of the New York Central Railroad Company failed to appear. Yr. John Bukowski, represen <br />ing the Polish Civic Association was present remonstrating against said 67_osing. City <br />Engineer, William S. Moore, pointed out that the Track Elevation program at Western <br />Avenue and Walnut Street depended upon the closing of this street in so far as the New <br />York Central nailroed was concerned. After much discussion in the matter of this <br />Arnold Street closing, the Board decides to continue hearing on same until Monday, <br />Janu-�,ry 15th., 1934, at 3 P. M. <br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No. <br />2478 for the vacation of Cherry Street, that portion lying between the northerly line <br />and southerly line of the main line of the New Y--rk Central Railroad right of way. <br />( Insert see files for copy of Vace Lion Resolution No.2478. ) <br />In the above named vacation resolution No.2478, remonstrators appeared and <br />the Board decides to continue nearing on same until Monday, January 15th., 19342 at <br />3 P. M. <br />Claims in the sum of $324,67 for various departments were signed and approved <br />by the Board.. <br />Meeting adjourned at 5 P.
