ORDINANCE NO. I0661 -1 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br /> INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN <br /> DEPARTMENTAL AND ENTERPRISE OPERATIONS IN 2017 OF $49,745 FROM <br /> CONSOLIDATED BUILDING FUND—CODE ENFORCEMENT(#600), $1,500 <br /> FROM WATER WORKS DEPOSIT FUND (#624), $1,000 FROM WATER WORKS <br /> SINKING FUND (#625), $4,500 FROM WATER WORKS DEBT RESERVE O&M <br /> (#629), $30,000 FROM SEWAGE WORKS O&M RESERVE (#643),AND $148,300 <br /> FROM CENTURY CENTER(#670). <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council passed the City's 2017 operating and capital budgets in <br /> 2016 (Ordinance#10458-16 passed on October 24, 2016),which included expenditures <br /> for various City enterprise operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds <br /> for operational expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services to its <br /> citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br /> Section 1. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2017 and <br /> set apart within the following designated funds for operational expenses as follows: <br /> Fund Amount <br /> Consolidated Building Fund (#600) $ 49,745 <br /> Water Works Deposit Fund (#624) 1,500 <br /> Water Works Sinking Fund (#625) 1,000 <br /> Water Works Debt Reserve O&M (#629) 4,500 <br /> Sewage Works O&M Reserve (#643) 30,000 <br /> Century Center(#670) 148,300 <br /> TOTAL $ 235,045 <br /> Section II.
