No one from IUSB was present. <br /> RESIDENTS/NEIGHBORS UPDATES AND CONCERNS <br /> There was positive feedback from the NorthWest neighborhood residents regarding the Police <br /> Department and how they have been handling situations the past few months. This has been due <br /> to good and open communication between off campus students, the police, the University, and <br /> residents. <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND UPDATES/CONCERNS <br /> Police: No major issues/citations filed regarding any of the local colleges and students lately. <br /> Common Council: There will be drafts of the Chronic Nuisance Ordinance sent out soon. Two <br /> bills are coming up that will have a big impact on South Bend and the colleges. First, the Land <br /> Lord Registry which will help students have accurate and up to date information on their land <br /> lords. Second, smoke free ordinance which would ban all smoking in public buildings including <br /> bars. <br /> The Committee set the next meetings for April 21" starting at 4:30 p.m. with a chance for a <br /> social gathering at 5:30 p.m. between various city officials and the incoming and outgoing <br /> student leaders and the rest of the Committee <br /> Gavin Ferlic adjourned the meeting at 4:15 p.m. <br /> 2 <br />
