Lt. Hechlinski: No updates from SBPD. Big reminder about warning up vehicles and leaving <br /> them running and unlocked— leads to car thefts. Tim Sexton asked about promoting safety tips <br /> for St. Patrick's Day celebrations. <br /> David Gariepy: Recently met with the student senate about campus safety concerns. No issues. <br /> LouElla Webster: There will be renovations at Kelly Park. Community getting involved and <br /> they have received substantial donations from several entities for supplies and material. <br /> Gail Mancini: No new updates. They are receiving grants again after a dry spell. Candidates <br /> are being reviewed for the Dean's position. <br /> Dan Allen: Working on creating a single database/search for off campus housing. Wanting to <br /> have more detailed information on one place for people to search. He advises that the campus <br /> safety video is almost complete. <br /> Marguerite Taylor: Neighborhoods are quiet now. The Robinson Center celebrated their 40th <br /> anniversary and there was a large turnout for the celebration! She advises that there will be a bus <br /> tour on campus scheduled for April 11"'. There was a suggestion to add St. Mary's and Holy <br /> Cross to the tour. <br /> Katie Wood: New website it almost up and running. Working on the release of a mobile app. <br /> Through the app you will be connected to dispatch. The soft release is set for March Yd and if <br /> there are no issues it will be released March 16th <br /> Tim Sexton: Campus is quiet. He mentions the South Shore— Sunrise Express which will run <br /> from South Bend to Millennium Station in Chicago. It's on a trial basis for a year. Working <br /> with SB Parks on the Boathouse. The Scholars Building will be torn down, which will allow <br /> more room for additional buildings and an additional dock. The goal is to reach out to the <br /> community so that kids learn about the sport. <br /> Tasha Reed Outlaw: She thanks everyone for notifying students about the taxi issues. She <br /> again says it's important that they follow through with her for the whole process so that the cases <br /> go to hearings. She advises that there will be 2 code inspectors working on football Saturdays. <br /> She would also like to see something posted at the airport with licensed cab information so that <br /> visitors can get a legitimate cab. Lt. Hechlinski brought up a bike "cab" issue on game days. <br /> Tasha was not aware and will check into this. She advised that letters are going on about the <br /> temporary parking permits to make people aware that they must get a permit for lawn parking. <br /> She also wants to make people aware of the new compost ordinance. <br /> Sand Garces: He advises he is working with Code and Legal regarding snow removal. <br /> Looking at some different avenues for residents in need who are close to schools and the vacant <br /> and abandoned properties. He asks for permission to send a URL for a survey (Survey is not <br /> through the City) to Gavin for disbursement. <br /> The next CCAC meeting was tentatively scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. <br /> at the County-City Building, 4d'Floor, Council Chambers. <br /> Council Member Gavin Ferlic thanked everyone and adjourned the meeting at 4:15 p.m. <br /> 2 <br />
