Tuesday, August 2nd. , 1932. 7 <br />• <br />• <br />Bgard mt in regular session at 10:00 A. Y. All msnbers present. Minutes <br />of meeting held Tuesday, July 26th., 1932, read and approved. <br />This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the <br />construction of the local sewer in Huey Street under Improvement Resolution No.2473. <br />Bids are as follows: <br />6 inch 8 inch 12 inch 18 inch Mign.holes Complete <br />R. Puca <br />.39 <br />.45 <br />.83 <br />1.20 <br />45.00 <br />The above bids handed to City Engineer for tabulation. <br />City Engineer, F. C. Oiray, filed the primary assessment roll shming the <br />awards of damages and assessments of benefits in the matter of the Vacation of the <br />streets in East -lawn Addition under Vacation Resolution No.2471. <br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the <br />30th. , day of August, 1932, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at <br />10:00 A. 1.., to hepr and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has <br />been affected by said vacation and will decide whether the several lots and pwrcels of <br />land have been or w ill be benefited or dama ged in the amounts shown on said roll or <br />in a gr eat er or less sum than that shos-n on said roll. The Board further orders that <br />notices of said hearing, together with the amounts of damages awarded. and benefits r. <br />assessed, be delivered to property owners according to law, or published according to <br />law as the case rgay be. <br />,r. A_. Bucholtz, represent ing the li4estern Avenue Improvement Association <br />appeared before the Board asking that the Board take steps to widen and pave Western <br />Avenue from Taylor Street to Olive Street, under the Thoroughfare Plan adopted in the <br />last legislature. The ratter was discussed by the Board and 1,1 yor Hinkle and other <br />members of the v estern Avenue Improvement Association and the board brought out the <br />feet that with the present low valuations on all City property; such an improvement <br />could not be launched and carried through under the present tax rate. However, the <br />Board and the Miyor assured the members of the association that the matter would be <br />given their careful consideration. <br />Claims amounting to $279.29 for various departments were signed and <br />'j approved by the Board and cr d e n d pa i d . <br />Ivieeting adjourned at. 12 o'clock noon. <br />Attested.: <br />II <br />it <br />Clerk <br />• <br />I <br />0 <br />v v/9 <br />0 <br />
