The following Ordinances and resolutions of the Common Council were discussed and given cons id era.tion: Ordinance No.2985. An Ordinance fixing the salaries of certain city officials and employees of • ! the I'lunic ipal 'ity of South 4e nd , Indiana, and repealing all ordinances' and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith. Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South fiend, Indiana: Section 1. That the annual sal,-:)ries for the fbllowing municipal city officials and employees of the city cf South Bend, State cf Indiana, for the remainder of the j year 1932, and for the entire year of 1933, be, and the same ere, hereby, fixed to become effective as of June list. , 1932 , as follows to -wit: Mayor's Clerk 1,425.00 I; Controller's Clerk 1 425.00 Supt. Water Dept. 4 250.00 Street Commissioner 3,230.00 General Foreman cC Street llept 1,980.00 r City Sexton 19900.00 Supt . of Police & Fire Alarm Signals 3,060.00 Inspector Wghts & Measures 1,900.00 Section 2. That the salaries of the members cf the Police and Fire Departments remain as now fixed by ordinance, except that fbr the remainder of the present year the s aln e be, and are hereby, re du ce d from and after June is t. , 1932, fifteen days (15 ) pay pro -rated over a tvelve month period. • Section 3. That the salaries of all other non -statutory officials, clerks or employees of the City or of any department there cf are hereby reduced as follows: Those rece ivinK $3, 500.00 or more , fifteen (15%) percent ; those receiving less that 39500.00 and .,2,000.00 or more, ten (10%); those receiving less than $2,000.00 and $1, 000.00 or more , five per cent, (5%) .
