<br />vie hereby offer to test and inspect, in a thoroughly intelligent and scientific

<br />4e agree to place an experienced asphalt inspector at the Contractor's
<br />paving plant during, the progress of the work, for the purpose of testing and inspecting
<br />the various in6wedients ana to supervise t1e, proportioning and mixing of same into tine
<br />finished paving, mixtures, No mixtures be
<br />will permitted to leave the plant unless, in
<br />the dpinion crL* the inspector,, they eie en' L-irely suitable to meet the traffic, climatic
<br />and tnundation conditions of tree thoroughfare to be paved,
<br />2. One of the P rinc inals of ou�� orginization will make periodical visits to
<br />your work,, the first visit tobemade about the time or starting the asphalt plant, to
<br />personally regulate anci standardize the various ingredients anci. subsequent visits
<br />at fai:kly regular interbvels during the pi-ogTess of the viork,,

<br />3.' e agree to ma�B careful analyses of the raw materials before permitt:Lng
<br />same to be used in your work, ieJecting -liucl-L materials as are unsuitable for your
<br />purpose and sending copies of all tests -M Your engineer.
<br />4. "fle will analyze daily samples of the asphai-tcement and the finished paveing
<br />mixtures for
<br />every day tPie .asphalt plant is in operation on your work, sending copies ofj
<br />all analyses simultaieously to engineer
<br />your and to our plant inspector for 'their
<br />Muttlal guidance and to complete your records in case or some future criticism of, the
<br />work,
<br />5. Ile agree -OD assist your Engineer in the preparation or modification of your H
<br />asphalt
<br />specifications,, if he so aesires.
<br />6. iie agree to assist the contractor in -che selection a' the materials most
<br />suitable f ar yo-LX projects, analyzing in advance or his ordering same such samples as
<br />are submitted to us by the Contractor or by your Engineer with that object in view.
<br />This
<br />prevents the Contrp.ctcr from ordering materials that may later be found to be
<br />unsatisfactory for your work.

<br />7. We a gree to make careful analyses of the Samples of hefined Asphalt and
<br />Fluxing Oil 6ubmitted
<br />with the bids of the Contra ctors,,'advising your Engineer as to
<br />which materials comply vAth YO-Lr specifications or are otherwise satisfactory for your
<br />purpose,
<br />8. eye agree to assist your Engineer in ever possible way toward the success
<br />of the imp-covenents, offering, sucia
<br />mrsonal advice as ice may desire with reference to
<br />the p:c-oper laying of the mixtures on the street. etc. Our experienced plant inspector
<br />will also be ins-uruce-t;ed to assist your Engineer, when so requested, with the street
<br />end of the asphalt werk,, so long as same does not interfere with his proper functioning
<br />at the plant.
<br />9* We agree to furnish our plant in wi-th the ncessary testing apparatus
<br />for the proper control or tkie inuedients; temperatures,
<br />&fadingt consistencies, etc-
<br />He will also be provided wi-�.-,01 printed diagrams, upon which he will report each the

<br />exact location or the work laid that day, together with the number of square yards cons-t-.1
