3 <br />Tuesday, November 24th., 1931. <br />j <br />Board met in regular session at 10:00 A. H. All members present. Minutes <br />j� <br />of meet ing held November. 17th.0 1931, read and approved. <br />This being the date set, nearing was had on the following vacation resolution <br />Vacation of the alley east of Michigan Street from the south line of New York <br />Central Rai 12.,oad right of way to t he north line . of the 1st. , alley south of Bronson <br />Street under vacation Resolution No.2468. <br />In the above named vacation re so luti on, no y-e mons trators appeared and no <br />written rauonstzances were filed. Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication <br />• <br />as ordered by Board and same were found to ce sufficient. After hearing all persons <br />Interested in said vacation resolution, and: being fully advised in the premises, the <br />Board decides to take final action on said resolution and declares same in all rings <br />rat ifie ci, confirmed and approved and the alley va ca ted. The Board now orders that s <br />list or roil ce piepared of all ovmers and holders of property and of valuable interes <br />therein sought to be taken, vtich list or roll shall also describe the property bene- <br />ficially affected by such vacation. <br />The Board ordered the Clerk cf the Board to prepare for publication notice <br />that on the 8tii. , Q ay ac December, 1931, the Board will receive sealed proposals for <br />the fb 11 owi ng equipment for the Street D ep artment s <br />3 V Type Snow Plows with names with approximately 5 foot spread <br />4- Tractors, with alternate bids on pneumatic tiros, solid rubber tires and <br />duals. <br />r: <br />• <br />E <br />• <br />LJ <br />1- Blade Snow Plow with all attachments f or fi tti ng to tractor. <br />2- 1Q to 2 ton trucks with cab and number 2 hydraulic hoist bodies, <br />The above publication to appear in the South Bend Tribune°t SCuth Benxi News <br />Times and Mirror on the 27th. , day of November and on the 4th. , day of December, 1931, <br />accolcding to law. <br />Claims in the amount of $330.26 for expense in connection with Track Elevation <br />were signed and approved -by the Board and the City C®ntroller is hereby ordered to pay <br />same out of Track Elevation Fund. <br />Claims in the amount of $292,278.48, Vnich include damag-ms awarded to property <br />owners. in connection with the widening of Yvestern Avenue under Condemnation Resolution <br />ho.2413; the vacation of Walnut Street under Vacation Resolution No.2447; the Condemna- <br />tion of Walnut Street under Co na emna t ion R eso lut ion 11o.2446 ; and the claim of the <br />Rieth Riley Construction Company for the improvement of the approaches to the Twyckenhai <br />Bri dge . <br />The Board also approved the claim of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company <br />in the amount of $316,647.61, in accordance to the agreement by the City with said <br />Hai lroad Company under cta ue of b6y 15th.3, 1928.
