<br />upon the petition of 'Ars. Itella W. Lippman, through her attorney, Samuel
<br />Pettingill the board authorized the construction of a mer6Tbandise chute with opening
<br />through the side walk at the property located at 208 N. fain Otreet. This merchandise
<br />chute is necessary in order that access may be made to the basement of said property.
<br />City Lngineer, n• G. ir'ay, submitted partial estimate ilo.4 for the grade,
<br />curb and walk improvement on Washington street from the center line of Olive Street to
<br />the west line of Bendix Drive, in accordance with the terms of the contract bet, een the
<br />City and The LaSalle Construction Company, contra.etors, under Improvement resolution
<br />iv o. 2448 . The board signed and approved same in the amount of $385.01.
<br />City An.gineer, ii. G. Wray, filed the `inal estimate for the Frade,curb. and
<br />walk improvement . on Washington Street under Improvement resolution No.2448. The board
<br />signed and approved same in the amount of'7,I03.71.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation hesolution f11o.2459 for
<br />the vacation of the first alley north of Bartlett Street from IVichigan Street to 1st. ,
<br />alley East of Idichig;m Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />In the above named vacation resolution, no remonstrators appeared and no
<br />written remonstrances were filed and the board, being fully advised in the premises,
<br />decides to take final action on said vace tion resolution and. de cleres same in a 11 things
<br />ratified, confirmed and approved. 'rhe board now ordems that a list or . roll be prepared
<br />of all o�;iners and holders of property and of valuable interests therein sought to M
<br />taken, which list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially affected by such
