in the hospital, and canvassing the neighborhood after the shooting. The streetworker will also be <br />responsible for planning one anti -violence event in their target community every year. The <br />stxeetworkers' goal will be to spend approximately 60 percent of his or her time "interrupting" <br />existing conflicts, and 40 percent of his or her time fostering a culture of peace before conflicts <br />begin. A full evaluation will take place after the VCIOU has been in effect for 1 year. This <br />evaluation will inform planning for year 2 of full implementation. <br />Phase II costs will consist of materials needed for the trainings as well as outreach costs that the <br />streetworkers may incur when planning events. Additionally, the funding will cover the cost to hire 4 A& <br />time streetworkers. <br />Administration <br />The Violent Crime Impact Outreach Unit (VCIOU) will be supervised by Goodwill staff member Isaac <br />Hunt who will also supervise the street outreach workers. Ile will be responsible for supervising and <br />guiding the streetworkers in their work on the streets and in the community. Other members of SBGV1 <br />will provide valuable insight and feedback throughout the process. <br />VCIOU Supervisor/Group Violence .Intervention Supervisor:Isaac Hunt Jr. works at the Goodwill <br />Industies of Miebiana as the Group Violence Resource Advocate for the South Bend Group Violence <br />Intervention Initiative.
