REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 21, 2017 408 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 10:35 a.m. on December <br />21, 2017, by Board President Gary A. Gilot, with Board Members James Mueller and Therese <br />Dorau present. Board Members Suzanna Fritzberg and Elizabeth Maradik were absent. Also <br />present was Attorney Catherine Fanello. <br />ADDITION TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Gilot noted the addition to the agenda of a Memorandum of Understanding with St. Joseph <br />County regarding the Portage Avenue bridge reconstruction. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Dorau, seconded by Mr. Mueller and carried, the Minutes of the <br />Agenda Review Session, Regular Meeting and Claims Review Meeting of the Board held on <br />December 7, December 12, and December 19, 2017, were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS — VENUES PARKS AND ARTS 2018 CHEMICAL SUPPLY <br />(VARIOUS VPA MAINTENANCE FUNDS) <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referenced project. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- <br />County News, which were found to be sufficient. Attorney Fanello stated there are eighty-five <br />(85) chemical line items so unless anybody wanted to hear specific line items, she would read the <br />names of the vendors into the record. Mr. Gilot asked if anybody was present bidding on the <br />chemicals. Hearing no one, he stated the review team would create a bid tab and post it on the <br />website. CR 50 W. <br />Roachdale, IN 46172 <br />Bid was signed by: David Bollman <br />Contractor's Non -Collusion Affidavit, Non -Debarment Affidavit, Certification Regarding <br />Investment with Iran, Employment Eligibility Verification, Non -Discrimination <br />Commitment for Contractors and Certification of Use of United States Steel Products or <br />Foundry Products was submitted. <br />Ms. Fanello asked if a bid bond was required, noting only one (1) vendor submitted one. Mr. <br />Patrick Sherman, VPA, stated there was not a requirement for a bid bond. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Mueller and carried, the above bids were referred to Venues, <br />Parks, and Arts for review, tabulation, and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS — MORRIS BISTRO REMODEL (JOINT LICENSING FUND) <br />
