South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting -January 15, 2010 <br />Ms. Spivey asked if Commissioners could <br />see the market analysis performed by our <br />appraisers. Mr. Inks said they could. <br />Ms. King said the Commissioners' role is not <br />to second guess the appraisals. That is the <br />job of staff. The question to the Commission <br />is whether it approves the $48,000 counter <br />offer. She suggested the Commission take <br />action on the resolution. <br />Mr. Downes made a motion to approve <br />Resolution No. Resolution No. 2642 <br />approving and accepting a counter offer 1506 <br />S Taylor. Mr. Varner seconded the motion. <br />The vote was two in favor, three against. <br />The motion did not pass. <br />E. West Washington-Chapin Development Area <br />There was no business in the West Washington- <br />Chapin Development Area. <br />G. Northeast Neighborhood Development Area <br />There was no business in the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area. <br />H. Douglas Road Economic Development Area <br />There was no business in the Douglas Road <br />Economic Development Area. <br />I. Ratification of Services Contracts <br />Mr. Inks noted the only ratification today is for a <br />Meridian Title proposal for title searches. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by Ms. <br />King and unanimously carried, the Commission <br />ratified the contracts approved by staff since <br />COMMISSION REJECTED THE COUNTER OFFER <br />PRESENTED IN RESOLUTION NO. 2642 FOR THE <br />ACQUISITION OF 1506 S TAYLOR <br />COMMISSION RATIFIED THE CONTRACTS <br />APPROVED BY STAFF S[NCE DECEMBER 18, 2009 <br />29 <br />
