<br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed the Final Estimate for the pavement on
<br />Kerslake �%ourt from 23rd_., Street to 25th., Street under .improvement Resolution No.2366
<br />and the Board signed and approvdd same .in the amount of 2,252.43.
<br />The Board approved the reconmendati onof 4m.. F. Qualls for the installa-
<br />tion of a 4000 lumen light at the intersection of Rogers and. Huey Streets at a cost of
<br />45.00 per year.
<br />The Board app ro ve d the bond of Joseph R. Good in the amount of $ItOOO.0
<br />signed by Ohio Casualty Insurance Company of Hamilton Ohio.

<br />Assessment roll for the pavement on Cedar Street from west line of
<br />Arthur Street tor-,,�4unnyside Avebye under improvement Resolution No.2370.
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement on Kerslake Court from 23rd.. Street to
<br />25th . Street under Improvement Resolution No .2 366.
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement (3 foot strip on each side of County
<br />pavement) from South Bend Avenue to .Uity Limits under Improvement nesoluticn No.2342.
<br />In all of the above named assessment rolls, the Board, hereby orders
<br />that on the I5th., day cf October 1930, this Board will meet in their office in the City
<br />Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to he-r and re('eive remonstrances from all persons whose property has
<br />been assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the several lots and parcels
<br />of land have been cr will be benefited in the amounts shown on said rolls or in a geeate r
<br />or less sum than that shown on said rolls. The Board fur the r orders that notices of said -
<br />hearings shall be published on the 3rd. , day of October, on the 4th. , day of October and
<br />on the IOth. , day of October I930, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to
<br />law, and that notices be mailed to pr op erty owners where ever possible.
<br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following vacation
<br />olutions:
<br />Vacation Resolution kto.2396 for the vacation of a portion of Carroll
<br />treetm along the hew York Central Railroad right of way limits, lying immediately North
<br />f the portion vacated by Resolution 174o.2050. ( See f i 1 es for c opy of r esolut io n. )
<br />Vacation Resolution No.2398 for the wcation of the alley east of Wood-
<br />Vrard Avenue from the north line of the Alley north of rudson Avenue produced, to the
<br />south line of Angela Avenue and from the north line of Ange lla Avenue to the east line
<br />of VJoodmard Avenue. (See f iles for copy of re solution.)
<br />In both cf t1-B above named vacation resolutions, no remonstrators appear
<br />d and no written remonstrances tere filed and the Board, therefore, decides to take
<br />inelvction on said vacation resolutions and declares sane in all things ratified-, con-
<br />firmed and approved.
<br />The board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners and
<br />orders of p:operty and of valuable interests therein sough to be take which lists or
<br />olls shall also describe the property beneficially affected by said vacations.
<br />This being the date seat, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution
<br />0.2399 for the pavement of the alley north of St. Vincent Street from St. Joseph Street
<br />o Stanfield Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />In the above named. improvEment resolutdon, remonstrators appeared and
<br />written remonstrance was filed and after hearing all persons interested in said resolu-
<br />ion, the Board decides to rescind all former action taken on se id resolution and declare
<br />ame null and void and the proceedings closed..
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement resolution
<br />o.2.397 for the pavement of the alley north of Colfax Avenue from 1.wyckenham L)rive to
<br />sther 6treet. (See files fcr copy of resolution.)
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, no remonstrators appeared and
<br />o written eemonstrance vias filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises,
<br />inds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for
<br />aid improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City
<br />Lngiijeer. The Board , therefore , d3akes final action on said re solution and d ecla res same
<br />n all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification. The Board now order
<br />hat on the I4th. , day of October 1930, this Board will receive, open and read sealed
<br />roposals for the construction of said improvement up to I0:00 A. M. The Board further
<br />rders that notices of said proposals shall re published. on the 3rd., day of October and
<br />n the IOth. , day of October 1930, in th. e South. Lend Tribune and luirror according to law.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the
<br />cal sewer in 1elkus Court between Lincoln a"ay �4est and Oak Street under Improvement
