1 17 <br />Wednesday, September 24th. , 1930. <br />Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. M. Mr. Ralph H. Kuss absent. <br />j The board approved the Gu rantee Bond of the Williston construction Company for <br />the Sewer in Falcon Otreet, Kenmore Street, Illinois 6treet, Westmoor Street, Prast <br />Boulevard and gums town Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.23059 in the amount <br />of 2,8I3.26 signed by Inland Bonding company. <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improvement resolutions <br />j Improvement Resolution No.2394 for the pavement of 28th. , street from Mishawaka <br />Avenue to Pleasant Street. ( See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement resolution N0.2395 for the pavement on 2Bth. , street from Pleasant <br />Street to North Side Boulevard. (See files for copy of resol•u.tion..) <br />In both of the above named improvement resolutions, remonstrators eppeered and a . <br />written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds <br />that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said <br />improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Eng- <br />ineer, The Board therefcsre, decides to over rule said remonstrances and take final ,aat— <br />ion on said improvement resolutions and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed <br />and approved. The Board orders said remonstrances handed to City Engineer for check as <br />• ; to number of resident property owners. <br />This be ing the da to s et, hearing was ha d on Impro veme nt Resolut ion No.2 39 3 for the <br />frad.e, curb and walk improvement on Vassar Avenue from Wilber Street to Adams Street. <br />k ee files for• copy of resolution.) <br />jj In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared but no written <br />remonstrance was filed and the Board, after hearing all persons interested in said im- <br />provement finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land. liable to be <br />assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by <br />the City Engineer. `1'he Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said resolu- <br />tion and: declares same in all t hings ra tified, confirmed and approved. <br />•City "Jngineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans and seecifications and the Board adopted <br />�I said plans and specifications togetherwith the follanfi74g Improvement Resolution: <br />j Improvement peso lut ion No.2400 for the local sewer improvement on Walnut Street <br />from Prairie Aven�le to Ewing Avenue. ( See files for copy of resolution.) <br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders that on the I4th <br />day of October I9309 this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at I0300 A.M. <br />i to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested. in or affected by said <br />improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land liable to be <br />assessed for said improvement will be benefited in the amount shown on the estimated <br />• it cost as filed by the City Engineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hear- <br />ing hhall be published on the 26th., day of September and on the 3rd. , day of October <br />1930, in the South Bend Tribune and Mirror according to law. <br />I City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed the following primary assessment rolls: <br />i <br />, <br />Assessment roll for the grading of Johnson Street from -Pershing Street to Wilson <br />j Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2377. <br />j Assessment Roll for the pavement of Swyeart Avenue from Indiana Avenue to N. J. & <br />l I. &-I. R. R. under Improvement Resolution vo.2380. <br />• Assessment roll for the pavement of Olive Street from Lincoln Way West to Elwood <br />Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2367. <br />In all of the above named assessment ills, the Board, hereby orders that on the <br />8th., day of October 1930, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at. <br />7-I5 P. M. , to he r and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property he s been <br />assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of <br />land beve been or will be benefited in the amounts shown on said roll or in a greater <br />or less sum than that shown on said rolls. The Board further orders that notices of <br />said hearings shallbe publl-Ished on the 26th., day of leptember, on the 27th., day of <br />September and on the 3rd. , day of October 1930, in the South Bend Tribune and. Mirror, <br />according to law and that notices be mailed to property owners according to law. <br />• The Board approved a claim of the Smogor Lumber "ompany for the -Northwest Fire <br />litation in the amount of $2,216.28. <br />Yee e ti ng adjourned at 9 P.
