Tuesday, August I2th. , 1930. <br />In the above 'named assessment roll, Bernard Neitzel appeared remonstrat- <br />ing against his assessment for raid improvement. A report from R. L. Like, assistant <br />Engineer,: sV oaring the alley in excellent condition, was filed with the Board. After <br />hearing all persons interested in said improvement and. being fully advised sed i n the nremis <br />es, theBoard. decides to take final action on said assessment roll, and finds that the <br />seteral lots and parcels of land_ have been benefited in the amounts shorn on said assess <br />ment roll, and therefore the Board declares samd assessment roll in all things ratified <br />confirmed and approved without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now <br />orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />The Board signed the contre ct for the cons truction grade, curb and walk <br />on South Side of Indiana �avenye from Brookfield. Street to 01ive reef under Im-croveme±: <br />Resolution N;o.2376, in. the amount of �'?872.40. The Board also approved. the eons+ruction <br />bond of same in the amount of I00 of the contract price signed by the United States <br />Fidelity and Guaranty Co. , o f Baltimore . <br />The Board signed the contract with 0. L. Davis for the grading of Johnson <br />Street frcri south line of Pershing Street- to 11ilson Street under Improver_ient Resolution. <br />No.2377 in the amount of $619.36. The Board also approved the construction bond of <br />same for 50 o of the contra. ct price signe d. by Iklietropolitan Casualty Insurance Co. <br />The Board approved the Excavation Bond of Samuel SltAtsky in the amount of <br />000.00 signed by the Ohio Casualty Insurance Comreny of Hamilton. <br />The Board approved a claim bf E. T. Tranberg in the amount of $244.00. <br />The Board approved past roll claims fbr various departments in the amount <br />of $61163.321, <br />This bei np the date set, proposals for a filling station to be located on <br />The Tiiiini.cipal, Parking Ground were receive, opened and placed on f ile. <br />Meetinr- ad ourned at 12 o'clock noon. <br />Attested: <br />Cleek of the Board <br />TUE SDAY AUGUST I9th . , I930. <br />Board met in regular session at 9 Af.1E. Iainutes <br />of meeting held August I2th. , I930 . read and approved. �' <br />The Boc-rd approved the continuation certificate for the Excavation Bond of <br />Sam L-vy in the amount of 8""1.000.00 signed by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co <br />Bids having been received for the grade, curb and walk impr-vement on the <br />north side of h?ishawak.p Avenue from Long-felloxr Avenue to east line of Lot 1015 in <br />Sunnymec°e 4th., Addition und---r Improvement Resolution No.23781 the Board this I9th., <br />dry of August 1930, hereby awards the contra ct for said im-orovement to ''Whitcomb and <br />Keller at their bid of 2,686.90. <br />No pet it ions hev ihF b een f i le d �fbr a ch an pe in the type of oavement other <br />than that specified in the preliminary order for the p avem?nt of Swyp.art Street from <br />Indiana Avenue to 1`4ev Jersey, Indiana and Illinoil R. R. under Improvement Resolution <br />NO.23E301 the Board this I9th. , day of August I930, hereby, makes a final order for sheet <br />asphalt as the type of navffnnent with which said street shall be improved and awards the <br />contract for slid improvement to Albert Construction Company at their bid of `�5,041,75. <br />This being the date set% continued heering vras had on the assessment roll <br />fcr the opening of Nancy Street under Condemnation Resolution No.2331. In the above <br />named assessment roll, the Board decides to continue herring until Tuesday, August 26th <br />19301 at I0 : 00 A. Y . <br />City Engineer, F. G Wray, submitted the fo llaxr ing report on the remon- <br />strance filed against the pavement on ?9th., Street under Improverent Resolution N0.2383 <br />There are 40 resident property owners, 15 of whom have signed the r emon- <br />strence.
