Tuesday, August I2th. , 1930. <br />In the above 'named assessment roll, Bernard Neitzel appeared remonstrat- <br />ing against his assessment for said improvement. A report from. R. L. Like, assistant <br />Engineer, s owing the alley in excellent condition, was filed with the Board. After <br />hearing all persons interested in said improvement and being fully advised in the rremis <br />es, theBoard decides to take final action on said assessment roll, and finds that the <br />se#era? lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts shown on said assess <br />ment roll, and therefore the Board declares samd assessment roll in all things ratified <br />confirmed and approved viithout modification and t12e pxoceed.ings closed. The Board now <br />orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />The Board signed the contract for the construction grade, curb and walk <br />on South Side of Indiana f-venye from Brookfield. Street to Olivereet under Imnrovemeti <br />Resolution NTo.2376, in the amount of 2872.40. The Board also approved the construction <br />bond of same in the amount of 100% of the contract price signed by the United States <br />Fidelity and Guaranty Co. , of Baltimore. <br />The Board signed the contract with 0. L. Davis fbr the grading of Tohnson <br />Street from south line of Pershing Street --to Wilson Street under Imnrov� ent Resolution <br />N0.2377 in the amount of y6I9.36. The Board also approved the construction bond of <br />same for 50 0 of the contra ct price signed by Mletropolitan Casualty Insurance Co. <br />The Board approved the Excavation Bond of Samuel Elutsky in the amount of <br />�I,000.00 signed by the Ohio Castr.lty Insurance Commny of Hamilton. <br />The Board approved a claim bf E. T. Tranberg in the amount of -$244.00. <br />The Board approved pay roll claims fbr various departments in the amount <br />of 6,I63.32.4 <br />This being the da`e set, proposals for a filling station to be located on <br />The lvhinicipal. Minutes <br />of meeting held August I2th., 1930, read and. approved. <br />The Board approved the continuation certificate for the Excavation Bond of <br />Sam Levy in the amount of 3I,000.00 signed by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co <br />Bids he ving been received for the grade, curb and walk impr-_vermnt on the <br />north side of IVlishawaka Avenue from Lon{-'elloir Avenue to east line of Lot 1015 in <br />Sunyzmece 4th. , Addition undr�r Impioverrant Resolution No.2378, the Board this I9th. , <br />day of August 1930, hereby awards the contra et for said improvement to U'yhitcomb and <br />Keller at their bid of A?2,686.90. <br />No petitions havihg been filed for a change in the type of pavement other <br />than that specified in the preliminary order for the p avermnt of Swygart Street from <br />Indiana Avenue to l�ew Jersey, Indiana and Illinois R. R. under Improvement Resolution <br />No.2MO, the Board this I9th. , day of August 1930, hereby, makes a final order for sheet <br />asphelt as the type of pavement with which said street shall be improved and awards the <br />contract for said improvement to Albert Construction Company at their bid of `�5,041.75. <br />This being tl:e date seta continued herring was had on the assessment roll <br />for the opening of Nancy Stre^t under Condemnation Resolution No.2331. In the above <br />named assessment roll, the Board decides to continue he-ftring until Tuesday, August 26th. <br />19301 at I0 : 00 A. PAR. <br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, submitted the follow ing report on the remon- <br />strance filed against the pavement on 29th., Street under Improvement Resolution N0.2383 <br />There are 40 resident property owners, 15 of whom hove signed the r emon- <br />strenee.
