M. .All members present. <br />j This being the date set, hearinfz were had on the following improve <br />ment resolutions: <br />Improvement Resolution No.2342 for ih.e pavement of Eddy street- <br />ij a 3 foot strip on each side of the County Pavement, from north curb dine of South <br />Bend Avenue to City Limits. <br />i <br />Improvement Resolution No.2350 for the pavement of the alley west <br />Scott Street Dubai Avenue <br />• <br />of from 1 to Calvert Street. <br />Improvement Resolution No.2349 for the pavement of the alley west <br />of Riverside Drive from It. Joseph Street to Npvarre Street. <br />Resolution No.235I for the of the alley west <br />itImprovement pavement <br />i, of Taylor Street from LaSalle Avenue to I st.: alley nor th of LaSalle Avenue. <br />In all of the above rammed improvement resolutions, some remonstrators <br />appeased but no written remonstrances were filed a.nd the Board, after hearing all <br />-oersons interested in said improvements finds that the benefits to the several lots <br />and parcle s of land liable to be assessed fcr said improvements will be equal to <br />j <br />i� the -estimated costs of same as reported by the City Engineer and that the improvements <br />are necessary. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said improvement <br />resolutions and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without <br />modification. <br />The Board now orders that on the I3th., day of Ma,y, I930, this Board <br />will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the construction of said improvements <br />up to I0:00 *A. 1s. The Board' further oriters that notices of said proposals shall <br />be published on the 2nd . , day of Lay and on the 9th. , day of Msy 1930 in the South <br />Bend Tribune and TAirror according to law. <br />jl This being the date set, hearing was had on the resolution for the <br />pavement of the alley north of Ostemo Avenue from Lafayette Street to Irquois Street <br />under Improvement Resolution 1,To.2344. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, no remonstrators appeared <br />but a written remonstrance had previously been filed. The Board, beings fully advised <br />in the premises, decides to over rule said remonstrance and finds that the benefits <br />to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said impzovement <br />will be equal to the estimated cost of same and that the im_pzovement is necessary and <br />therefore, takes final action on said resolution and declares same in all things <br />ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />The Board now orders that on the I3th., day of May I930,, this Board <br />ii will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the construction of said improvement <br />up to I0:00 A. IT. The Boa.rd further orders that notices of said proposals shall be <br />I published on the 2nd., day of ray and on the 9th., day of Ilay 1936, in the South Bend <br />ribune and Xirror according to law. <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improve- <br />ment resolutions: <br />Im-oro v emen t resolution No . 2343 for the pavement of the alley north <br />of Colfax Avenue from Laporte Avenue to Co ;fax Avenue at 3rd., alley west of Laporte <br />Avenue. <br />• Improvement Resolution No.2345 for the pavement of the alley south <br />of Jefferson 6treet from laurel Street to Walnut Street . <br />Improve ment Resolution No .2 346 for the pe vemnt of the alley south <br />of Peris Street from Iflichip-an Street to Carroll Street. <br />Improvement Resolution I'o.2347 for the pavement of the alley hest of <br />Main Street from Colfax A -venue to Ist. , a.11eT north. <br />Improvement resolution iyo.2348 fbr the pavement of the alley west of <br />Pulaski street from alley south of Division street to Eard Street. <br />i <br />In all of the above named ir_n_-orevement resolutions, remonstrators appear <br />• ed and 7.r itte n remonstrances were filed and. the Board after h earing all persons inter- <br />ested in said improvements, decides to -rescind all former action taken on said. resolu <br />tions and declares saree null and void and tree -proceedings closed. <br />'j <br />' The board approved a pay roll claim for the Tilunieipal Air Port in <br />the amount ofI35.00. <br />City Engineer, N. G.
