W ec.ne sd ay Evening April 2 3rd. , 19300 <br />Board met in regular session,at 7-I5 P. M. Mr. Ralph H. Kuss absent. <br />This beings the date set, hearings were had_ on the following improvement resolu <br />tions:: <br />. Improvement -Resolution T�,o:2333 for the pavement of Columbia. Street from Sample <br />Street to Pennsylvania Avenue. ( See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution hTo.2334 for the pavement of Dubeil Avenue from Marine <br />Street to Leer Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.2337 for the pavement of Swygart Street from 2nd., <br />alley north of Indiana Av Enue to Prairie Avenue. ( See files for copy of resolution.) <br />In all of the above n€red improvement resolutions, written remonstrances were <br />filed and remonstrators appeared and the Board, after hearing all persons interested <br />in same improvements and being fully advised in the premises, decides to over rule <br />the remonstrances and finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land <br />liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the e stirr.. ted costs of <br />same as reported by the City Engineer and therefore declares said improvement re soli- <br />tions in all things ratified, conf irmed and approved without mod ificat ions. The Board <br />hereby orders said remonstrances referred to City Engineer for a final check as the <br />the. numbers of resident property owners who have signed same. <br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby, orders <br />that on the I3th., day of May, I930, this Board will receive, open and read sealed <br />proposals for the construction of said improvements up to I0:00 A. N. The Board furthe <br />orders that notices of said proposals shall be published 'on the 25th., day of -April <br />and on the 2nd. , day of May I930 in the South Bend Tribune and Mirror according to lair. <br />�i Thits being the date set, hearings v-ere had .on the followinf• improvement reso.lu <br />�! tions: <br />. (See files for copy <br />of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.2340 for the pavement of the alley east of Sheridan <br />I'venue from Ford Street to the alley south of Division Street. ( See f ile s for copy of <br />resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.234I for the local sewer improvement in Eddy Street <br />from Wit. Vincent Street to the City. Limits. (See fi le s f or copy of re s olution, } <br />In all of the above named improveimnt resolutions, remonstrators appeared <br />but no written remonstrances were filed and the Bov.rd, after µea7ring all persons inter- <br />ested in said improvements finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of <br />land liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs <br />of seme as reported by the City Engineer and that the improvements are necessary. The <br />Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said improvement resolutions and <br />declares same in all things ratified confirmed and a-pproved without modifications. <br />j The Board hereby orders that on the 13th., day of May I930, this Board will. receive <br />!I open and read sealed proposals for the construction of said improvements up to I0:00 <br />A. M. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on <br />the 25th., day of April and on the 2nd., day of May 1930 in the South Bend Tribune and <br />Mirror accordinu to law. <br />i <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution No.2338 for <br />the pavement of Wilson. Avenue from Iron-jood 'give to 24th., 'street. (See files for <br />j co-oy of resolution.) <br />In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators Eppea_red and a written <br />remonstrance was filed and the Board after hearing all persons interested in said im- <br />provement decides to rescind all former -�etion taken on same and declares some null <br />and Void and the proceedings closed. <br />City Engineer, T.�G. t- ray, filed martial estimate �`io.I for the pavement of <br />the alley east of Miami Utreet from Victoria Street to Altpeld 6treet under Improve- <br />ment Resolution No.2297. The Board signed and ap roved same in the amount of 758.4.5 <br />under the provisions of the contract between the Eity and E. T. Trenberg, contractor. <br />jCit77 -Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed partial estima to ho.2 for the g�ra de, curb and <br />walk improvement on -''nderson avenue from Kind Street to Bu1_la Avenue, in accordance <br />with the terms of the contract between the city and H. ±•?. Barnes, contractors. The <br />Board signed and approved s arm in the amount of "'-?763.30. <br />
