Wednesday, November I3th.1, 1929. <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Lebanon Street from Broadway to <br />Indiana. Avenue under Improvement Resolution No. 2268. <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Fremont Street from Lincoln Way West <br />to Humboldt Street under Improvement Resolution. No..2259. <br />In all of the above named assessment rolls, the Board, hereby, orders that <br />i on the 20th., day of November 1929, this board will meet in their office in the City <br />Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and. receive remonstrances from all persons whose property <br />has been assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the several lots and <br />parcels of land have" been or will be benefited, in the amounts shown. on said rolls or in <br />a greater or less sum than that shown on said roll. The Board further orders that <br />notices of said hearings shall be published on the I5th. , day of Novenber and on the I6 <br />I day of November 1929, in the South bend News Times and Tribune according to law. <br />f <br />City Engineer, H. I'1., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been <br />affected by such Vacation. The Board further orders that notices be delivered to pro- <br />perty owners according to law, showing the amount of damages and benefits awarded or <br />assessed, as shown on said roll. <br />i, <br />i� Upon the recommendation of H. GWray ;City Engineer, the Board approved <br />a driveway located at the corner of Mishawaka Avenue and 27 th. , Street. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the <br />u . <br />pevement of Viilber Street from Lincoln bray West to Elwood Avenue under Improvement <br />Resolution No.2253. <br />I' <br />• In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared and a written <br />remonstrance was filed by the New York Central Railroad Company and the Board, being <br />fully advised in the premises, deci�es to modifty the assessment roll as follows: <br />' 'Reduce the assessment on LotI C. R. Smiths Ist.., from 4972 to 28.75 <br />Reduce assessment on Lot 20 in C. R. Smiths Ist., from 50.28 to 2907 <br />Reduce assessment on Lot237 in C. R. Smiths Ist., from 50,28 to 29007 <br />is Reduce assessment on Lot 288 C. R. Smiths 2nd., from 49.69 to 28.73 <br />0 <br />• <br />• <br />7_j <br />The Board decides to modify the assessment roll as shown above and hereby <br />orders the City Engineer to make this modification on the roll and let said roll show <br />City of South Bend benefited in the amount of $84.35, which is the amount of the re- <br />ductions, and ;to be paid for by the Board of Public Ivorks out of their refunds, awards <br />and indemnities appropriation. M4ith the above modification, the Board finds that the <br />several lots and parcels of land have been -benefited in the amounts shown on said <br />modified roll and declares said modified roll in all things ratified, confirmed and <br />approved and the proceedings closed. , The Board now orders said assessment roll deliver <br />ed to the Department of Finance. <br />This being the date' set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the <br />pavement on Elmer Street from Lincoln YVay V7est to Elwood Avenue under improvement <br />resolution No. 2230. <br />In the above riamed assessment roll, Ella Yloolfer owner of a tract of land <br />185.5 feet on h2lhibriL, Street remonstrated against the assessmei @or 4 water connections <br />along said property. In view of the fact that sewer connections had been assessed <br />against this property on the Llwood Street Sewer, the Board decides to reduce the asses <br />menton this tract of land in the amount of $42.00. No other remonstratorscappeBred <br />and no_written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premise <br />finds that the several lots and pardels of land have been benefited in the amounts <br />shown on said modified roll and therefore, the Bon rd decides to take f inal action on <br />said roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved as modified <br />and the proceedings closed.
