<br />City Engineer, ,-. G. `.Wray, filed the follotiving primary assessment rolls:
<br />1 Assessment roll for the pavement on Foster Street from Howard Street to
<br />St. 71ncent Street under Improvement Resolution No.2247.
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement on Sample Street from the Wiest line of
<br />I Olive Street to the west line of N. J. I. &. I. R. R. under Improvement Resolution
<br />�i No.2I44.
<br />In both of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby' orders that
<br />on the I8th. , day of September, 1929, this Board will meet in their office in the
<br />City Hall at 7-25 P. IT., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
<br />property has been assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the several
<br />lots and parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts shown on said
<br />assessment rolls or in a greater or less sum than that shown on said rolls. The Board
<br />further orders that notices of said hearings on assessment rolls shall be published on
<br />the I3th. , day of September and on the I4th. , day of September 1929, in the South Bend
<br />News Times and Tribune according to law.
<br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll
<br />for the pavement on Chapin Street from --the north line of Ford Street to the north
<br />curb line of Prairie Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2192.
<br />In the abo,,re named assessment roll, no femonstrators appeared and no
<br />written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises,
<br />finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts
<br />named on said primary assessment roll and therefore, the Board take final action on
<br />said primary assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and
<br />approved and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll deliv- '!
<br />eyed to the Department of Finance.
<br />This being the date set,. hearing bras had on the assessment roll for the
<br />i pavement of the alley south of Division Street from Scott Street to Chapin Street
<br />under Improvement Resolution No.2257.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no
<br />written remonstrances we-e filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises,
<br />take final action on said primary assessment roll and declares same in all things
<br />ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders
<br />said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the
<br />pavement on ?`ichigan treet from Donmoyer -Avenue to L ot5 Chippewa Heights Addition
<br />under Improvement Resolution No.2245.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared but no written
<br />remonstrance was filed and the Board, upon the request of property ovrners, decides to
<br />continue hearing on same until September I8th. , I929. .
<br />The 3oard signed the con"ract with the Albert Construction Company for the
<br />pavement of Lebanon Street from Broadtnray to Indiana avenue under Improvement Resolution;.
<br />No.2268 in the amount of 14,55I.42. The Board also approved_the construction bond of
<br />same for 50% of the contract price signed by Inland Bonding Company.
<br />The Board approved the 11mrantee Bond of the Albert Construction Company
<br />for the pavement imrrove-ent on Do-aglas Street from Dubail Avenue to _Bruce Street under"
<br />Improvement Resolution Yo.2252, in the amount of 1503.84 signed by Inland Bonding Co.
<br />This being the date sett continued hearing was had on Improvement Resolu-
<br />ti on 7o.228I for the pavement on .Liberty Street from the south line of Division Street
<br />to Vae north line of Sample Street.
<br />In the above nar,ed improvement resolution, the Board, being fully advised
<br />in the premises, decides to rescind all former action talen on same and declares same
<br />null and void and the proceei?ings closed.
