46S Wedne sda y, lugus t 2lst. , 1929. <br />Assessment roll for thee -pavement, resurface of VanBuren Street from Cushing <br />Street to Portage -Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2175. <br />Assessment roll for"`t-he pavement of the west of krnsperger 6treet under <br />Improvement Resolution No.2176. <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of the alley north of LaSalle Avenue from <br />Scott Street to Taylor Street under Improvement Resolution No..2237. <br />Assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk on Fain Street under Improvement <br />Resolution No.I847. <br />Assessment roll for the g� ade, curb and walk on Campeau Street under Improve <br />�I ment Resdlution No.2233. <br />jlIn all of the above named assessment rolls, the Board, hereby, orders that <br />I; on the 4th. , day of ''eptember 1929, this Board will meet in their office in the ity <br />Hall at 7-I5 P. 1%, to hear and receive remonstrances from all r ersons whose property <br />has been assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the ,several lots and <br />parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been benefited in the <br />amounts named on said primary assessment rolls or in a greater or less sum than that <br />named on said rolls. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be <br />published on the 30th., day of August and on the 3Ist., day of August, 1929, in the <br />South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law. <br />�! This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improvement <br />j� resolutions: <br />Improvement resolution N0.2275 for the pavement on Prairie Avenue from the <br />east curb line of Webster Street to Grant Street. <br />Improvement Resolution No.2273 for the pavement on DonaldSStreet from Leer <br />Street to Sampson `'treet. <br />Improvement Resolution No.2269 for the pavement of Varine. street from New <br />York Ventral Railroad Right of way to Indiana Avenue. <br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared <br />�j and no written remonstrances were filed and. the Bogrd, being fully advised in the <br />premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be <br />assesse� for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported <br />by the ity Engineer. The Board, therefore decides to take final action on said <br />improvement resolutions, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approve <br />without modification. <br />i In the matter of Improvement Resolution No.2275 for the pavement of Prairie <br />Avenue and Improvement Resolution No.2273 for the pavement of Donal d Street-, the Board'! <br />hereby orders that sealed proposals will be received for the construction of said j <br />�improvements up to IO:00 A. IT, of the 3rd. d j � ay of �e�4tember I929. The Board further <br />, orders that notices of said proposals shall be. published on the 23rd. , day of August <br />and on the 30th., day of August 1929, in the Jouth Bend News Times and Tribune, accord-! <br />ing to law. <br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on Improvement Resolution <br />No.2274 for the pavement of Kendall ''treet from Calvert 6treet to swing Avenue. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board decides to. continue <br />hearing until September 4th. , 1929, at 7-I5 P. 1,% <br />This being the date set, c-ntinued hearing was had on the assessment roll for <br />the pavement on Broadway under Improvement Resolution No.2I87. <br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board finds that the several lots <br />and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts shown on said assessment roll <br />and therefore decides to take final action on said assessment roll and declares same <br />in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. The Board <br />now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />City Engineer, H. G. `dray, submitted Final estimate for the grade, curb walk <br />lighting system and heavy traffic concrete pavement improvement on Beyer Avenue under <br />Improvement Resolution No.225I in the amount of $I2,8I7.28, which final estimate was <br />signed and approved by the Board. <br />Yeeting adjourned at I0:00 P.
