EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />The City of South Bend Police Department is in need of one properly licensed towing company to provide twenty-four <br />hour a day, seven days a week service for the removal, towing, and storage impoundment of certain motor vehicles <br />within the city of South Bend. Additionally, the city has deemed the need for a secure storage facility within five miles of <br />the City of South Bend, and that that the towing entity named will provide all billing services for vehicles removed <br />and/or stored. <br />The City of South Bend Police Department is in need of one properly licensed towing company to provide twenty-four <br />hour a day, seven days a week service for the removal, towing, and storage impoundment of certain motor vehicles <br />within the city. <br />The goals are: <br />• One properly licensed towing company to provide twenty four hour a day, seven days a week removal and <br />storage services. <br />a One company that shall maintain and have exclusive control of three recovery vehicles that are DOT registered. <br />o Storage facilities that are within five miles of South Bend City limits, that are both secure and operate a <br />minimum of six days per week. <br />m Proper billing, storing, release of vehicles, and recording of charges for vehicle owners and services provided. <br />® Fair and just cost for vehicle owners and indemnity of the city of South Bend for any costs associated with the <br />outlines of this proposal. <br />ASAP Towing & Recovery {hereinafter referred to as "ASAP/The Company" is fully licensed by the State of Indiana and <br />the City of South Bend to own, operate, and provide removal, towing, and storage services for the City of South Bend <br />and the surrounding area. The company owns and operates five vehicles, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, <br />that are capable of passenger vehicle and light truck removals. The company provides fully secured storage, within the <br />City of South Bend, and has the capacity to house two hundred vehicles at any given time. <br />We will provide: <br />o One properly licensed towing company to provide twenty four hour a day, seven days a week removal and <br />storage services. <br />• Five recovery vehicles that are DOT registered and licensed with the state of Indiana. <br />• Our secure storage facility located within the city limits and the ability to house 200+ vehicles. <br />® Hours of operation that comply with timeframes outlined in RFP. <br />• Proper billing, storing, release of vehicles, and recording of charges for vehicle owners and services provided. <br />s Fair and just cost for vehicle owners and indemnity of the City of South Bend for any costs associated with the <br />outlines of this proposal. <br />
