December 7, 20039 <br />City of South Bend <br />Common Council <br />227 West Jefferson Blvd. <br />Suite 1200 N <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />RE: PETITION TO VACATE PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY, 11$ SOUTH WILLIAM ST. <br />Dear Council Members: <br />On behalf of the City of South Bend, Department of Economic Development, Wightman Petrie is <br />submitting a petition to vacate public rights -of -way for the first EastlWest alley South of <br />Washington Street from Taylor Street to the first North /South alley for a distance of 115.5 feet, <br />more or less and a width of 14 feet. This alley is a part of Vail's subdivision, Portage Township, <br />City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />The purpose of this vacation of the real property is to allow more buildable space on the two lots <br />to the South of the alley which were recently purchased by the City and are currently being <br />demolished and cleared for potential redevelopment in the future. <br />Should you have any questions of concerns please feel free to call me at 574- 232 -4388 <br />Sincerely, <br />Matthew D.
