<br />The Board signed the contract Stith the rckenham band and Investment
<br />Company for the grade, curb, walk and sewer in streets in i{idgedale 5th., Addition
<br />under Improvement esolution No.2228, in the amount of 45,596.00. The Board approved
<br />the construction bond of same for 100% of the contract price signed by A. R. Ers',-ine.
<br />The Board 'signed the contract t.rith the Northern Indiana "instruction
<br />Company for a local sevtr r improvement on Johnson Street under Improvement Resolution
<br />No.2240 in the amount of 2,672.00. The Board als6 approved the construction. bond of
<br />Came in the amohn.t of 100% of the contract price signed by the . Great -",meri can Indemnity
<br />O.
<br />The Board signe4 the contract with Keith: Riley Uonstruction Company
<br />for the improvement on Michigan Street under Improvement Resolution No.2242 in. the
<br />amount of 5202.23. The Board also approved the construction bond for same in the
<br />amount of 56% of the contract price signed by the Southern Surety Company.
<br />The Board signed the contract with Harry N. Barnes for the pavement
<br />on Michigan 'street under Improvement Resolution No.2245 in the amount of JIO, 750.03.
<br />The Board also approved the construction Bond of same in the amount of I00% of the
<br />contract price signed by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Maryland.
<br />No petitions 'laving been filed for a change in the t rpeof pavement
<br />other than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of the west 2
<br />o Bendix 'rive from the south line of Humboldt Street to the north line of Lincoln
<br />Highway under Improvement resolution. 31o.2222, the Board this I8th.9 day of June 1929,
<br />hereby makes .a final order for sheet asphalt pavement light traffic as the type of
<br />pavement with which said street shall be improved and awards the montraet for said
<br />improvement to `r`Jilliston Construction PYompany at their low bid of 11,278.82.
<br />No petitions having been filed for a change in thetype of pavement
<br />other than that specified in the preliminary order -Ufor the pavement of the south 2
<br />of Humboldt Street from the center line of Bendix rive to the west line of Lot 39
<br />in Kaleys 2nd., Lincoln Highway Addition under Improvement ``esolution No.222I, the
<br />Board this I8th. , day of June I929, herby makes a final order for sheet asphalt pave-
<br />ment light traffic as the type of -pavement with which said street shall be improved and
<br />awards the contract for said improvement to "rilliston Construction ('ompany at their
<br />low bid of '1, I40.58.

<br />Partial estimate No. 2 for the pipe sewer improvement in Greenlawn
<br />Avenue from G. T. 'U. R. R. to Chester 6treet "treet in accordance �.rith the terms of
<br />the contract between Northern Indiana Construction Company and the City under Improve
<br />ment resolution No.2200. The Board signed and appr^,ved same in the amount of 684.02.
<br />-Partial estima ,e No.I for the sewer improvement on Johnson street
<br />from the center _line of Bulla Street to the center line of lot 24 in 0. C. Hueys Addition
<br />to the City of South Bend, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the Cit
<br />and Northern Indiana Construction "ompany, contractors, under Improvement Resolution y'
<br />No.2240. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of $I,65T.65.

<br />This being the date set, bids were -eceived, opened and read for the ii
<br />i construction of a local sewer in Olive Street from zlWood -&venue to Keller 'street under
<br />improvement Resolution No.2223.`- Bids are as follows:

<br />adopted said plans and specifications together with the following Improvement j{esolution:
<br />Improvement Resolution NO.2249 for the pavement of the alley south
<br />of Monroe Street from Carroll Street to the first alley west of Carroll Street/ (See
<br />files for copy of resolution.)
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, property owners waived all
<br />right of objections on and in defense to any defect in proceedings and to any violation
<br />in procedure for the construction of street improvements as fixed by law, 01hereupon
<br />the Board, proceeded to open and read the following proposals for the construction of
<br />said improvement:
