(See files for <br />copy of resolution.) <br />Im-,rovement Resolution No.2235 for the pavement of Blaine Avenue from the <br />south line -of Rose street to the south line of alley south of Rose Street. (See <br />files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.2236' for the pavement of the alley east of <br />T,incoln day -last from R'onroe Street to Arch Street. (See files for copy of resolu <br />tion.) <br />Improvement Resolution 17o.2237 for the pavement of the alley north of LaSall <br />Avenue from Taylor Street to Scott Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.2238 for the pavement or resurfacing of Prairie <br />,Avenue from the east curb line of Webster Street to Grant Street. (See files for <br />copy of resolution.) <br />In all' of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby, orders <br />that on the I9th., day of June.I929, this Board will meet in their office in the <br />City Mall at 7 15 P. Y., to hear and - receive remonstrances from all persons whose <br />property is liable to +be asses'sed for said improvements and will decide whether <br />the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for. said <br />improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City <br />Mrigineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published <br />on the 3Ist. , day of May and on the 7th. , day of June I929, in the South Bend News <br />Times and Tribune according to law and that notices be mailed . to property owners <br />according to law. <br />The Board approved the ;following agreement nade with the Chicago, South Bend <br />and Northern Indiana Railway "ompany regarding the pavement of Chapin Street under <br />.Improvement Resolution No. 2I92: <br />A GREPE7'V,NT . <br />This agreement, made and entered into this 2Ist. , day of Vay, I929,. by and <br />between the City of South Bend, Indiana, through its Board of Public forks, and <br />R. R. Smith, Receiver for, Ohicago, South Bend and Northern Indiana Railway Company, <br />a corporation duly created, organized and existing under the laws of the state of <br />Indiana, '4itnesseth: <br />Whereas, under Improvement Resolution No.2I92 of said Board of Public forks <br />approved by said Board on April IOth. , I929, said City is about. to pave that portion <br />of Chapin Street lying between Ford Street and Prairie avenue, all in the said City <br />of South Bend, And, <br />Whereas, the plans and specifications for said improvement comtemplate the II <br />paving by said City of said portion of said street from curb to curb including the !` <br />space between the rails and trac'cs of a single and double track street railway line <br />of said Railway Company on said portion of said street, as well as the space outside <br />thereof; And, <br />Whereas, said Railway. Company has prepared plans and^specifications for the <br />reconstruction of its tracks in the said portion of Chapin Street. <br />Now Therefore, it is agreed between the parties hereto that, in consideration <br />of the construction, (including the furnishing of material and labor)and the comple- <br />tion by said City of that portion of said pavement between and within the rails and <br />tracks of said company and the space one foot in width to ail4acent to and outside <br />of said track or. tracks, according to the plans and specifications now on file with <br />
