355 <br />Wednesday, April I0.th. , 1929. <br />• <br />0 <br />• <br />0 <br />11 <br />Board finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of .land liable to be <br />assessed for , said -improvement will be . equal to the estimated cost of same as reported <br />by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said <br />modified resolution, declaring same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved <br />as modified. <br />The Board now orders that on the 23rd., day of April 1929, this Board will receive <br />open and consider sealed proposals for the construction of said improvement up to <br />I0:00 A. M. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be publish <br />ed on the I2t j. , day of .April and on the I9th. , day of April 1929, in the South Bend <br />Dews Times and Tribune according to law. <br />In -the matter of the Improvement of Laurel Street from. Division Street to a point <br />130.56 feet south of the south line of Monroe Street under Improvement Resolution <br />No.2I62, the Board hereby orders that they will receive, open and read sealed <br />proposals for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A. IT. The Board <br />furhter orders that noteces of said proposals shall be published on the I2th., day <br />of April and on the I9th. day of April 1929 in the .South Bend News Times and Tribune, <br />according to law. <br />This bein- the date set, hearing was had on Resolution N6.2IO8A, supplementary to <br />Resolution-No.2I08 with reference to Bergan Johnson Sub -Trunk Sewer Improvement. <br />(See files for copy of resolution.) <br />In the above named supplementary Resolution No.2I08A, no remonstrators appeared <br />and no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board being fully advised in the <br />premises, finds that the area or district to be drained is properly bounded, that <br />the special benefits to the property within such district or area will equal the <br />es�itated cost of said improvement as reported by the City Magineer. The Board, <br />therefore, takes final action on said Resolution No.2IO8A and declares same in all <br />things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />City �hgineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and esti-Pates and the Board <br />adopted said plans and specifications together with the following Improvement Resolu- <br />tion: <br />Improvement Resolution No.22I09 for the grade, curb and walk and sewer improve <br />ment on Corb Street from the east line of the 3rd., Plat of Park Place Addition to <br />the City of outh -Bend, Indiana, to a point I52.6 feet east of the east line of said <br />3rd. , Plat <br />u <br />of _ark Place Iddition. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />In the above named improvement resolution, property owners waived all object- <br />ions on and in defense to any defeat in said prodeedings and to any violation in <br />procedure for the construction of street improvements as fixed by law. Thereupon the <br />Board received, opened and read the following sealed proposal for the construction <br />of said improvement as follows: <br />E. T. Tranb erg <br />71alk curb grading 6 inch pipe 18 inch pipe T-fanholes <br />.17 .50 .75 .90 3.00 85.00 <br />The Board hereby this IOth., day of April I929, awards the contract for said <br />improvement to T. Tranberg at his bid for this improvement. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the opening of <br />Sherman Avenue to riverside Drive under Condemnation Resolution No.I768. <br />In the above named assessment roll, a written remonstrance was filed by Julius <br />and Frances luszek by their attorneys D. D. Nemeth and 'alter Arnold.
