This being the 'tine set, The Board net tq take `up the matter of the onstruction of the _marquise at T2I North y=3chigan Street. In the above matter Attorney Samuel P. Schwartz was present in the interests of his client and granted permission to Block Bros.Ar doing.business as the Shaw Jewelry Company to erect the marquise according to °the plans and specifications presented. With reference to the signs on said marquise, attorney Schwartz appealed to the Board from the decision of the Building CCommissioner and, after hearing, the facts of the case, the Board ruled in favor of the peti.t$nnrr, Yeeting adjourned at II-30 A. The Board approved the renewal certificate of Noah Malott of Mishawaka for excavation in streets signed by the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company. The Board arproved the rewewal certificate of the Vishawa'ca Phitbing Shop for excavation of streets, signed by the Aetna Casualty and Surety ompany. No petitions having been filed for a change in the type of ravemert other than that specified in the Preliminary order for the Pavement of VanBuren. street from the west line of Cushing Street to Lawndale Avenue under ImTrovement Resolution No.2168, the Board, this I9th. , day of February 1929, hereby ma'_-ces a final order for sheet asr_ halt heavy traffic pavement as the t?rre of pavement with which said street shall be improved and awards the contract for said improvement to Albert Construction Company at their low bid of $20,554.42 for sheet asphalt. The Board approved the revised plat of Lincoln Highlands Addition with the following Dedication: HIG HLANDS GHLANDS ADDITION TO VIE CITY OF. SOUTH '9'TTD INDIANA. The annexed plat of Lincoln Highlands Addition to the City of South Bend, [ St. Joseph Coun Indiana, is a subdivision of the suthwest one quarter of the south$,ast one quarter of ection 32, Twonship 38 North, Range 2 East, excepting the Plat of Vrount Pleasant Cemetery, and is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the south one quarter of said Section 32, thence north along the north and south center line of said section, 1321.6 ft. , to the center line of e11er'Street; thence east 1319.6 feet to the center line of Pearse Street; thence south ITI.8 feet to the north line of Vrount Pleasant Cemtery; thence west,; along the j north line of Mount Pleasant Cemetery 929.8 feet to a point 23.0 feet east of the east Tine of Charles Street; thence south 209.2 feet to the south line ,of said Section. 32, thence west 388.0 feet to the place of beginning. f The plmt contains I45 lots numbered from I to 145.
