<br />This being the date set, continued he -:,.ring was had on Improvement
<br />Resolution No.2I68 for the rave-ent of V'anBuren Street from portage Avenue to Lawndal.e
<br />Avenue. j
<br />In the above named improveent resolution, after hearing all
<br />persons interested in same and being fully advised in the premises, the Hoard decides
<br />I to modify said improvement resolution to read 'from the west line of Cushing Street
<br />to Lawndale Avenue", this eliminating the bl©ak from Portage Avenue to Cushingtree.
<br />�Vlth this modification, the Board finds that the benefits to the several lots and
<br />parcels of: land liable to be assessed for zaid improvement will be equal to the
<br />J estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore,
<br />ta'.es final action on said improveme-. t .p,,esolution and declares same in all things
<br />ratified, confirmed and approved as modified.
<br />The Board now orders that on the 29th., day of January 1929, this
<br />Board will receive, ppen and read sealed proposals for the construction of pavement
<br />on Vanburen Street under Improvement Resolution No.2I68 up to I0:00 A. Y. The Board
<br />further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the 28th., day
<br />of January and on the 25th. , day of January 1929 in the South Bend News Times and
<br />Tribune according to law.
<br />This being the date set, continued hearing wa-e had on Improvement
<br />Resolution No.2I64 for the pavement of O'Brien Street from south line of prast Street
<br />to south curb line of Werwinski Court.
<br />r In.the above named improvement resolution, the Board decides to
<br />continue hearing on same until Tuesday morning January 22nd., 1929 at I0:00 A. T,%
<br />City Engineer, filed. rlans, specifications and estimate .and the l
<br />Board adopted said -plans and slbpeifications together with Im rovement Besolution'
<br />No.2I75 for the resurfacing of Va�hBuren Street from Portage Avenue to Cushing Street.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, lution, the Board hereby orders
<br />that on the I2th. , day of February I929, this Board will meet in their office in the
<br />City Hall at ,I0:00 A. I-., to hear and -,eceive . remonstrances from all rersons whose
<br />property is liable to be assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the
<br />benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said imnro j
<br />vement will be equal to the estimated thereof. The Board further orders that notices
<br />of said hearing shall be published in the South Bend News Ti,es and Tribune on the
<br />I8th. , day of January and on the 25th. , day of January 1929 according to law. i
<br />This being the d ite set, hearing was had on the following

<br />Assessment roll for the sewer improvement on O'Brien Street and
<br />ilerwinski Court under Improvement Resolution No.2I46. j
<br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Sunnymede Avenue from south
<br />curb line of Longfellow Avenue to the north curb line of 'Tall Street under Improvement ,I
<br />Resolution No.2II6.

<br />In both of the above named assessment rolls, no remonst-:nators
<br />• appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being Bally advised in
<br />the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land rrimarily assessed for i
<br />said improvement have been benefited in the amounts named on said assessment Molls. I�
<br />The Board, therefore, takes final action on said assessment rolls and declares same !
<br />in all things ratified, confirmed and approv-ed without modification .and the proceed-
<br />ings closed. The Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the department
<br />of Finance.
<br />This being the da'�e set, hearing rr-s had on the assessment roll
<br />for the "Taeation of the alley east of 'dale Avenue;d sp. alley west of 'iamni Street
<br />'.'also the alley south of Dabail Avenue under Vacation Resolution Yo.2I65.
<br />. In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and
<br />no written remonstrance was filed and the ,3oard therefore decides to ta:.e final action i
<br />on said assessment roll and declares sa-e in all things ratified, confirmed and
<br />approved without modification and the proceedings closed.
<br />Cit%, Engineer filed plans, specifications and estimate and the
<br />Board adopted said plans and specifications together with Im-ovement Resolution
<br />70.2174 for .the construction of water and server connections on the following named i
<br />lets on Harriett Street: Lots 588,64I, 676 & 677 in Sunnymede 3rd., Addition and �I
<br />Lots 7949 79511 796 and 797 in Sunnymede 4th., Addition.

<br />In the above named improvement resolution, property owners waived
<br />all objections on and in, defense to any defect in said proceedings and to any violation
<br />jI in proceedure for the construction of improvements as fixed by law.
<br />ffhereupon the Board received, opened and read sealed proposals for
<br />
